Those RC style antennas are horrendously & notoriously known for causing leaks. Especially when owners take them to the carwash & the rotating brushes pull, yank & slap.
Never use a metal stubby antennas. Cut/modify the rubber antennas instead. They're designed to yield & bend without causing major water damages & destroying g the headliner.
A shark fin style antennas, capping/covering the oem factory screw/opening or antenna delete are better than using a solid metal stubby antennas.
I modified the oem/factory RC rubber antenna to a stubby. Have never had any leaks, interior rust/mold, headliner damages/mold & the Sirius & XM antennas circuit board deteriorate.

Hello throtl, I would really advice against painting the caliper mounting surfaces (the flat machined surfaces which make contact with the knuckle). The calipers will not sit right on the knuckle, destroying the tolerance stack-up of the entire caliper, which is important for correct function. You may get a taper wear on pads, unwanted brake drag torque, or maybe even caliper scratching the rotor. Luckily with fixed type caliper, the pads can't fell off, as they are secured with pins.
Same with painting the pistons.
Also, brake rotor is unsprung weight.
Designing brake calipers is my daily bread. 🙂

You know what I'd like to see, is you guys taking an old ugly car and make it beautiful. Not your conventional tuner cars. Things like a 1996 Toyota camry, and my brain is hitting a blank on other examples, but you get the general idea.

This has been my dream car for so long now
You can take a razor blade and cut the lower part of the stock antenna and use it as a spacer for the shorty antenna so it gets rid of the gap. That's what I did on mine. Tip: Cut "spacer" long and trim to fit.
