This time HorsePower shows you how to take a cheap, single inlet carburetor and modify it for great tenability and increased horsepower. Plus, a trip to the track where the baddest Outlaw racers kick off their 1/8 mile season of heads-up competition.

I love how he's using at 1:59 the screwdriver. 😂
Carbs way to small for that 383
Ever try fuel injection? You may like it better
So probably 600cf no power valve sizing or jets front and rear but it's going to run no problem on a 383
8:30 the four holes gasket under the spacer?
How about some part numbers so we know what to get
Doesn't matter much to me, but I both see why it would be a deal breaker, and have only been a Halo Fan for 3 years, so I really don't have an oppinon on the matter.
Is there a parts list in case somebody wanted to try these mods on that 600 ?
Here's a tip: use an open plenum spacer style gasket underneath that 4 hole. You don't want it flopping in the breeze and eventually tearing off to be ingested by the engine. I use the 4 hole on top to sneak in a 1/4" phenolic between it and the carb to help keep things cool.
Motor sounds like crap
Why does the guy have to sound like he smoke 5 packs of cigarettes
I like the Lancia idea, fit it all and build a badass rally car.
Need to go back to standards I could teach a 10 year old to hold a wheel straight and do a burn out.
200hp 400ftlb
Qraudrajet. 😆
Change the secondary canister spring I bet the 770 makes best power.
Carb spacer make me laugh so much.. I’ve seems a couple videos of people trying them on a dyno and never see gains yet you always hear people talking about them.. I guess it’s like the cold air intake in the carb world lmfao
I don't understand why you would use an intake with increased hight knowing a carburetor spacer wouldn't have any effect.
Marshmallow was abandoned by her previous owners but didn't lose hope in humanity. Watch how she connects with her foster mom! https://thedo.do/3dP9B8y
It's easy. If you want a race car you use a Holley. If you want reliability and daily driver hot rodding, buy an Edelbrock.
This is funny. If you want a full blown race car you don't need turbos. You can run 8's with a big cubic inch engine on race gass. No turbos or Nitrous.
Those are not street cars in the beginning. Maybe for the trailer queens they are.
Put a extremely fine wire mesh between the intake manifold and carb will make the fuel vaporise better, the problem is to find a fine mesh that doesn't restrict the air flow a lot
👍👍👍
Just buy a 650 dbl pumper
Damn someone done bent thier rim on thier outlaw car 😬
What's with that high pitch "pinging" like sound at the end of the runs??? Is that valve train noise? I notice little stuff like that
Put a turbo on project stroker stang
Boy this is old as carbs are so 90s and before. EFI all the way as no adjusting all the time like a carb.
I prefer Edelbrocks for a daily type of hot rod, Holley is better suited for a race application imo.
