This 1952 Dodge Meadowbrook was a true abandoned barn find in Iowa. We try a first start in many years! It’s a unknown how long the vehicle has been off the road since it has classic plates and isn’t tagged currently. The Dodge has a straight 6 with a unique fluid drive transmission. Bad ignition, and head gasket. Fuel leak? Perfect! Watch this classic car fire back to life!

Man you are absolutely hilarious, I enjoyed every minute of your sense of humor. Hope to see you fully restore this vehicle. Good luck I'll be watching.
Well I've never said it before but I'll say it again….there's nothing like an old Dodge or
Plymouth flathead 6. I've had two one was an actual BARN FIND literally in a barn back before barn finds were that big of a deal. They both ran AMAZING right from the start…..
smoth as a you know what 😳 😏 😮
12:26 Fast forward 5 years and Derek's house IS the neighborhood!!! 😂
A guy decided to rewatch all of a fella's vidjeos. 6/27/24
Catching up on the old shows
Was the engine steam cleaner an option in '52 ? 🙂
👿🔱😈…its a 4 door.. Leave it in the bard
Looks like total failure of the glycol ethylene propulsion unit on top of a failed head gasket. Lol that was a pretty cool video from the early days.
Good memories of the fluid drive. I had a customer call to drag in a desoto in years past and had to learn all about how to service that unit. That certainly was different from these modern cars.
agree with you about the word barn find is very misused
I was watching this video from 5 years ago that I missed and you were cleaning those old spark plugs.
Harbor freight sells a spark plug cleaner. All you need is around 60 to 90 lbs. of air pressure. I use mine all the time. They include some media also. Works like a miniature sand blaster.
Takes around 10 to 15 seconds and they look brand new and the price is only $10 bucks. Check it out. Small enough to fit in your pocket.
Derick I have to change plug wires one at a time less likely to screw up
Love your show watch often would like to meet you I leave in north west Alabama , Shoals area
This shows a love for cars. To fight it in that snow.
dome light was on
This Car is 71 years old.
Same year model as me😎
Now a guy has seen a lot of these videos and I'm 93.43772 repeating percent sure this may be the best one! Or at least my favorite..Nailed it
My goodness Derrick looked way more rested back then to think it was only five years ago
Derek, I 'm totally amazed you are featuring a 1952 Dodge Meadowbrook. This is the exact car my Mom had when I was growing up. First car I ever turned a wrench on! Thanks for return down memory lane!
How I just realized this was the first VGG video I saw
1960. My parents had a 1956 Plymouth Savoy. Only a 4 year old car, but I was ashamed cuz other kid's parents had newer cars. I walked to school instead. Now? I only wish…
But yeah they're the ones that glazed-over but you can't push the things but so hard especially at around 100 miles an hour yes it takes a little while to stop
Oh and mr. Derek the master I ran them THC drum brakes also back then which I love the name cuz it reminded me of tasty cannabis but yeah those weren't no joke either
Hi Derek, just got done watching the 1776 Monte Carlo videos. I’m a new subscriber. Loved it!! You were asking about events. I’m a regular at the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona in November. Great show and swap meet. Hope to see you there!! Joe S.
Your personality is awesome
I do believe you could get a watermelon to run 😂
It’s much better without the bumper music to start the show👍🏻
Wish I’d seen this in time, I would’ve bought it! 🤷🏻♂️
I’m all caught up on new episodes (past 2 years so) but YouTube is now recommending these old ones. Hilarious! Derek’s a young feller!
That ran very nicely, stick with it.
Whatever happened to this car? My Pop's 1st car he ever drove was a 52' Meadowbrook. He passed away the beginning of this year and always wanted one.
OOh… You are thin…
Where's your safety glasses? 🤠🤯
Blue Jay barking
Same as Plymouth version
I had full confidence in the old dodge. They may not be powerful but I've found they usually run if they have fuel air and fire. Been watching for a long time now and you can't make em fast enough for me. Continue Please 😊
You are very cool 😎 working on cars and trucks I give you five star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Very cool the dodge Meadowbrook was the brother to my first car the 52 Plymouth Cranbrook exactly the same! There is something to that throaty sound of those Flathead 6 cylinder engines love it, I milled the head at machine shop at high school, bought a new Offenhouser twin carb manifold , from Honest Charlie’s which used to be a huge catalog store back in the 50s ,60s and found a set of Fenton headers at the local junk yard, bought some green and white tuck-n-roll seat covers from Honest Charlie’s my Uncle Tom was a chef at a local restaurant, but a Jack of all trades! He did a right nice job of upholstering the front and rear seats! Could not find door panels so we bought several yards of White Naugahyde and cotton batting and made some right nice door panels! Then I bought some spray lacquer candy green from the local Schwinn bicycle shop, prepped the dash sprayed it candy green! Looked great with all the Art Deco chrome trim on that dash! Had dual exhaust, since the Fenton headers were two piece with separate collector’s using corrugated exhaust pipe from Pep-Boys , two Cherry Bomb glass packs & ran the pipes out the sides right in front of the rear tires! Very cool , and great sounding!!! My Dad paid $50.00 Bucks for that car, wish I had it today! Keep up the great work Derek! You crack me up!!
Regards Mad Mike S. From the land of freezing ass cold………
Coming back to these old ones is crazy seeing him at the start again filming these on his phone in the driveway to where he's at now with that nice shop and constant builds. Awesome.
Holy mackerel yikes she's a "steamin demon" lol oooftah maaay she's HOT LOL
If it's not on the H it's not hot.
It's them old Flathead 6s you just can't kill them , the quart of oil and a couple drops of gas and Away you go
It's a winner 🏆
Love flatheads!! Like I mean LLLLLLlOOOoOOOOvVVvVvVEEEeEeE them
