  1. Man I’m getting one soon from my girl’s family for $3000 a steal of a deal and it’s in mint condition inside and out just saving up so I can pay them and get it towed been sitting for a year but don’t want to drive it 34mins back home

  2. I seen people do that kind of work, it's one thing not to change a water pump but not the thermostat? Seen to many Fords die and bake after head gaskets etc. because the thermostat went bad. As bad as that water pump looked under the hose, I woulda changed it. Maybe he already did idk, good job anyway, nice to help people this way. I have a 79

  3. You should have removed the Ground before messing with the positive cable, always remove the Negative cable first, and never put a black cable on the positive , it should have been replaced with a red one, come on guys there are people watching you that don't know this stuff and now think well that's how its done, no

  4. HI
    Tips I`ve learnt
1/ use Loktite powder flushing agent ,drive for 10 min
2/ remove thermostat and backflush eng block and heater
3/ service or replace radiator [debris will be inside core]
4/ fill cooling system will distilled water run engine until hot then drop out fluid
    5 / refill with coolant
NB water pump either replace or if reusing emery tape the hose fitting to give a good hose seal surface
Lastly pressure test system to 15-18psi and check for leaks

  5. The 79 Ranchero is the ugly duckling of the line. I've got a 73 GT, with the Q code 351 Cleveland and C-6. The 72 has a better looking front end.The previous unit bodied versions we're better looking and lighter, but more prone to the frame rails rusting out.
