  1. This helped keep me motivated while my truck is down I have the transmission out and have completely built it and upgraded in every way possible, got full rough country 6 inch lift with v2 series shocks, rough country 22×10 inch 96 series wheels with 35 inch rough country M/T with new upper and lower ball joints. It’s been a lot of work and a long time the truck being down and a crap load of cleaning and degreasing and undercoating and parts painting. I did it all completely by myself and for myself and I’m 24. I saw times I’ve been angry, times I’ve sat and cried from frustration, times I’ve cried out of joy and humble pride, and spent a lot of time trying to gather the motivation and the initiative just praying if I could make myself get started I might pick up some sort of momentum. And I’m still not done! I sure appreciate you and your positive attitude, cool words, and uplifting spirit. I tell everyone about Vice Grip Garage and Nicks Transmissions and Precision Transmission….. that and The Why Files is about all that’s fit to watch! Thank you much!

  2. Really enjoying the lift series. One thing I'd change is more sidewall on the new road contact go-around thingies. 33" is great but mine would be 18" rims. I'm lookin forward to see more Beast!

  3. Would you happen to remember the bolt size needed for the shock replacement? I plan on installing this kit here soon, and currently my shock mounts are "indiana'd" (rusted out completely and missing)

  4. Bigger rims + more height = more problems. Shouldve used stock k20

Also lug nuts have different shapes. Make sure you match the lug nut to the lug face that come with your aftermarket rims

also aftermarket rims, after 100 miles. NEED TO BE RETORQUED.

Are the rims lug-centric? Hub-centric? Do they require a hub ring?

    Things you need to know.

1995 GMC K1500 I have. I bought old suburban rims. STEEL. Alloy will corrode 100%

General Grabbers AT2. K0'2 cheap cousin.

  5. @vicegripgarage I just wanted to cue you onto the new @BFGoodrich HD Terrain T/A KT tires. Made for 1 ton or larger commercial trucks, all terrains. I am a rancher that hauls heavy and spends 55% of my time off road or on gravel roads. They is the first all terrain that gave me 3 miles per gallon and has lasted more then 15k miles. Not one single tire in the past. Falken, BFG KO2, Coppers XLT, Nittos, nothing has lasted me 20k miles. However these mud terrain looking tires with the big knobs, will be the very last tire I ever buy for my heavy 1 ton trucks.

  6. Thanks for doing this one. Your my favorite car youtubeR watch your videos all the time. then looking up something I'm thinking about doing and you got a video of it double score

  7. I would have got bf goodrich ko2 tires..rated #1 for snow /ice. I use them on my 2001 chevrolet silverado 2500 hd. I never have any issues in upstate new york..

  8. I know I'm a few years late, Derek, but the best tires for a for truck I've ever owned are Mickey Thompsons Baja Boss. Can't beat them. Also best tires for a car in the snow rain and tornadoes are Michelin Crossclimate 2 they will not slip at all. Might be kinda hard for burn outs also….😂
