Can We Make This Stock ’91 Suburban Unbreakable? – Music City Trucks S1, E1 – Car Mod Pros Portal

In the series launch we take a 1991 Chevy Suburban and transform it into ‘Project Unbreakable.’ We test the Suburban at on off-road track, then return to the studio to tear it down to the frame, create a full build-plan, get the engine work underway, and begin fabrication.

  1. Well; I posted here [see below] and received notice that I had won something [return text requested] but when I texted I got 'invalid number'. so I went to their web site and it wouldn't let me contact them or even establish an account. So did I really win some thing or did they just not like my post and wanted to bitch about it? Happen to anyone else? [bad joke?]

  2. I don’t believe he locked the passenger side it maybe a mistake of the video but the tire never turned and I also didn’t see it get locked in, I wouldn’t think they would make this mistake but who knows it’s possible,

  3. I've owned a 91 chevy 4×4 suburban & a 89 4X4 GMC Suburban and the 89 GMC sat way more higher with stock suspension than the 91 suburban did ….just sayin. The Mexican sheet metal these rust buckets were made from …..damn, what A WASTE …..just sayin. The 65 4X4 400sbc Carryall Sub I owned years ago WAS THE BEST, …..yeppers!

  4. I know I'll sound like a grumpy old man, but I can't help it, I am.

These type shows, while somewhat entertaining, are really unrealistic. Unlimited budgets, unlimited time, full access to a lift and just about every imaginable tool.

Most of us have/had day jobs.

  5. did they just weld the square tubing to the sheet metal of the body to make rocksliders? is that going to be a strong enough slider, is it welded all the way along the body, are there supports to the frame???? Anyone know? educate me, im about to build sliders myself as well.

  6. love the old 87-91 R/V series suburban, owned quite a few only things i dont like are the 90'91 electronic speedos in order for it to work you need an adjustable drac unit so it can be adjusted and compensated for a lift and bigger tires and diffrent gears,If you own an 90/91 convert it to the 89 mechanical speedo with a cable you will thank me later

  7. As European I always wonder, how much you Americans seem to hate everything old. It's is always the same: buying old classic cars and throw everything away, what's dirty or rusty. Maybe it is because of the cheap spare parts and easy access. I'm glad the refurbish the engine and took used axles
