Part 1 of 2: Let’s do a quick budget restoration on this vintage 1970 Evinrude Skeeter 440 Snowmobile! What was supposed to be a quick, “get it runnin'”, went off the rails when a guy really starting liking this machine. I’m going to make it a going to town rig. It has a really cool opposed 2 cylinder you gotta see!

You might do what Matt does on Diesel Creek. He straps the tank onto a tractor wheel, with your nuts inside, then drives around for a day. The tank lives or dies.
Derek I love your videos. Does only Bentley love to work with you more than the other two boys?
Rear exhaust modification is probably because the ice buildup around those shocks keep them thawed out
My eyes can feel the exhaust fumes
The side profile looks like my pit bull
Ads are getting a little over whelming derek.
You're a damn good dad! It's nice to see a father and child making good memories.
I tried to learn/help my ole man in the shop where I was introduced to the Nakada Ken fist (fist with the middle knuckle on point) to the noggin if I got in his way.
After so many knots on the head, I found other things to do.
Run 50 to 1 oil mix with modern 2 stroke oil , the 24 to 1 mixture is for 1970 oil.
I believe you can use 50 to 1 if you go with synthetic two-stroke oil
Carb looks like a Tillotson
Love watching the reruns. You haven't changed all you done is improved and stayed true to yourself and family. I bet they miss riding some snow.
Run's like a RUDE!
I hope the boys understand what a great dad they have. A great dad, spends time with them, they get to learn things from him that is an awesome dad. I wish I would have had that when I was growing up. 😊
My dad brought home a '78 Kawasaki dual-carb 440 when I was in high school. That thing was SO FAST. It felt like a turbo was kicking in when you laid into it. I wonder if maybe at lower speeds it used only one carb, then both kicked in when you wanted to go??
I got a 81 arcticat jag i been meaning to get running just waiting on michigan ever getting snow.
I love these old sleds. I wish you would do another one, except I don't think tennesee gets much snow. Maybe grass drags.
That neutral lockout should be mandatory on all sleds.
You should do some more stuff like this besides cars it's pretty cool
duck tape for the seat
we know what a two circalator is
you think
I sure didn't see any seat belts installed for their safety evan if it come out factory without them. So please slowdown
It's great to see the family involved in helping you revive these machines. I've been binge watching your channel since I discovered it. Learning on the way and giving me confidence to get my own back on the road, thank you for sharing your knowledge and your family.
what ever happened with this
I DIDNT KNOW THAT TENNESSEE RECEIEVED ALOT OF SNOW
Strap that gas tank to a tractor tire and go for spin. 😂
