S10 Gets Pressure Washed After 17 YEARS OUTSIDE! (98.7% Satisfying) – Car Mod Pros Portal

Since the 1986 Chevrolet S10 SS barely runs and drives, let’s spend a day pressure washing this. I have to be honest, I really enjoyed this one! Probably the most moss/mold/lynchings I’ve seen on a running vehicle. We’ll fire up the pressure washer and knock it all off! We also spend some time on the interior and try to bring that back around a little bit more as well.

  1. These hard build ups as on the Cad and trucks look like Lichens eatin
on the paint. As I recall I did a paper in Jr High School on it and that creature is actually 2 organisms working together. The Fungus part adds moisture with the Algae part adding energy from the sun. Photosynthetic: "Lichen is a symbiotic partnership of two separate organisms, a fungus and an alga or cyanobacterium."
Lichen is responsible for creating Earth's soil from billions of years eatin on exposed rocks and breakin um down to usable dirt for other organisms. Very important thang dem Lichens!

  2. Had an early 90’s S-10. V-6, 4X4 Manuel, air and no power windows/locks. Put some big ole tires on it. Was a maintenance free Truck except paint. Chev had different styles of primer and paint and the paint would peel off at the car wash. Got so rusty that when you turned right you weren’t sure if the chassis would follow. You would get rain, mud and snow in the cab. Ole Blue’s final demise was the gas tank got rusty and started to drip fuel on the exhaust. Off to the bone yard she went. But when she was in her prime she’d pull thru snow and mud. My boys learned to drive stick on her. Great memories.
