Part 2 of 2: This 1970 Evinrude Skeeter Snowmobile is beggin’ to be put back in the snow. What started off as a quick “let’s get it run and bang some ditches”, got a little sidetracked with a budget refresh. This machine ended up looking, and running great! Watch it come back to live!

Very cool 😎
I ran a 1956 mercury mark 25 18 hp out board. 25 % of a quart 10w30 to a 3 gallon tank. A broken lower unit took it out of service in 1999.
Hepa filter. lol.
My uncle once had a pair of Harley Davidson snowmobiles that looked very similar to that.
Best thing I've watched in a long while.
Go to an old farmer or junk yard and find an old trip rake. Take a couple of the tines off it and make your own. They work great for the runners
I live in the south, so these snow machines are foreign beasts to me. That being said, I have enjoyed going back and watching ALL of these vintage snow mobile shows. I guess it’s cause I grew up with 2 stroke dirt bikes 😅 I don’t know but I love em!
Had a 72 panther 440 with only 800 miles on it and i was also the second owner i had to sell it because i had to move and i lost storage and then i got sellers remorse 😂
we use to just take rebar and weld a few bolts on them make your own you know
I wish you could help me restore my sons go-cart. You are so talented.
Derek!! Use some eye protection on that grinder! Especially with the wire wheel.
I took my neighbor to the ER to get a piece of the wire wheel removed from his eye. He assured me it was not fun.
What did you do with the '70 Evinrude Skeeter after you moved to Tennessee?
Just now watching this one. What an awesome job rebuilding this little snow cat. That windscreen is sick. You can fix anything no doubt.
I love looking back and watching older VGG videos. Its truly amazing to see how You Tube changed the trajectory of this feller's life. You can really get a good sense of what a good'ol boy Dereck is, and how wholesome the Bieri family really is. It's heart warming to see Bentley at a younger age wrenching with his dad, and to see the little feller today on more recent content. So happy for your success Derek, Keep up the great work sir!
Great job, looks fantastic.😊😊😊
WHY not just weld the runners up?
I had 1979 Yamaha srx and I ran 50:1. Even
With the custom exhaust it should melt the snow with the back area where the build up was probably before he dithe exhaust
I would use a piece of small rebar for a runner
I know a feller in Utah that made several sets or steerarator 300s out off old dump rake teeth you're likely to find one on the edge of a old farm😂 a guy with your talent can whip out a set in no time
You have too many toys. And money
May I suggest a home powder coating system? That would be so awesome for all those steel and aluminum parts
I love how you were playing ""electric football" on the seat pan @32:05 🙂
TIL how to give a snow machine cpr…cool.
Well…. you just inspired me to pull the 1977 Kawasaki Invader 340 into the shop. Motor runs just needs some minor repair and a good cleaning. lol
The wear rod is called a carbide
Love your videos , best channel on YouTube , thank you I am learning so much from you, 😊
