I installed another modified transmission valve body in my 2003 E55 AMG and it’s a seriously nice modification. I had installed one a few weeks ago and although it shifted quickly, it was too harsh on the downshift while coasting. This valve body will work with any 722.6, 5-speed transmissions and the larger transmission pan you see in the video is not needed.
Before you order understand this is still a performance valve body. You will still feel the coasting downshifts but they aren’t as hard as the first modified valve body. I recommend this for performance-oriented cars that are raced, or if you want faster shifts. If you have a daily driver E320 for example, I wouldn’t do this mod. Just enjoy the cushy luxury shifts.
