  1. those AN fittings look just like regular JIC hydraulic fittings. Back in the days on forestry machines you had those screw-on fittings and made your hydraulic hoses that way sometimes. the pressure was a bit lower back then

  2. I know I'm late to the party but try and remove the black paint on the wing and reveal the blue – it could be Schwinn bicycle paint, if that helps retrace the colour. Very popular choice on guitars including Eddie van Halen's Frankenstrat.

  3. One of my new favorite channel's.. Big fan from Australia. I've watched all the independence videos from the beginning and I'm up to here. What a epic build I love it. 💪 Watched all of Betty White's videos aswell she's a reliable old girl.. thought I'd leave a bleep bloop for a feller. Hell yeh brother. 😉

  4. If you do a loop in the fuel tank vent line won't that make it so that air can't travel through it? If the line gets fuel in it that would turn it into a trap like in the plumbing or HVAC world, which lets fluid pass but not air.

  5. Hey Derek – I know this is probably too late…but if you need a quick way to work with fittings without marring them up, use a latex/nitrile glove between the fitting and wrench. No joke, slit a spare disposable glove from wrist to finger, and put it across the fitting. Put your wrench on the fitting (the glove takes up the slack) and then tighten it up. I just redid the carb & filters on my big block truck without any special tools, and the only fitting I goofed up was the one I over-tightened and may have rounded a corner off! (It was a cheap thing I bought online because I needed it fast, but the hydraulic hose place was closed at 11pm on a Saturday night). No need for fancy expensive wrenches!
