I just bought an abandoned Lowrider sight unseen for $1,000! This custom-built 1986 Pontiac Fiero was featured in the August 1997 Lowrider magazine and must have been at least a $50,000 build. This isn’t your typical Pimp My Ride 90s build, the car has an insane custom paint job top to bottom, literally. The entire underbody is painted and cleared and the attention to detail will blow your mind. We are talking things like painting one nut purple and a different one orange. The car also has a custom interior and a complete hydraulic system minus the batteries. Someone put their entire heart and soul into this car and then for reasons unknown, it was abandoned. The car hasn’t run in many years and was sitting outside to rot. I bought this car as a total impulse and my friend John from the channel @WatchJRGo and I are going to bring it back to life!

  1. I remember driving one of these when they first came out. My dad had a Pontiac 6000STE new in '84. He kept having issues with the steering rack. Every time the car was in the dealer they'd give him a Fiero loaner. I was 18 in '84 and had just graduated high school in the Detroit area . I took it out and drove it like I stole it.

  2. i might be late but
check resevoir fluid, check cable diameter per voltage, remove paint on ground cable and metal contact point on frame, any electrical check use OHM's Law.
    P.S:
No one likes low riders until their in one, then they love them❤🤣🇺🇸

  3. It is crazy how much body filler guys used to use.
There was a classic 70's van (I can't remember the name but it had beautiful scenes of lions painted on it) that sadly they had put like a 1/4" coat of body filler on to cover all the seams and smooth it out before painting. Sadly but inevitably it rusted under the bondo and there was no way to save the amazing art work.
Here is hoping most of that amazing paint went on to metal rather than thick bondo.

  4. It really pisses me off that somebody would let this car go to waste the way they did a car that was featured in a magazine that you can tell someone probably spent years to build this car and a lot of money and took their time to paint every Edge and Corner in the car I remember seeing this car in the magazine cuz I used to always buy Lowrider magazines and I was fascinated by the car because it was unique and different It's just sad that someone put so much time into it and it goes to waste and instead of people appreciating the car they beat it the s*** and make it look like crap when they could have just kept up with the maintenance and kept that car in great condition I hope these guys appreciate the car and get it back to the way it used to look and to only pay a thousand bucks for it that was a steal I would have bought it

  5. I remember reading this issue and seeing the car thinking interesting and a lot into it. Crazy to see it now and the story behind the guy selling it and sadly passing later in life. Fun video and needs more batteries:)
