Yes, the bridges were covered to protect the wood trusses and surface from decay and snow etc there are several in ashtabula county near lake Erie
that’s some fine looking scenery, beautiful
Hey, I never see your wife drive The car.
Whoa feller… you forgot your most important person … Jessica!!! Be sure to always include her in the daily check list😎😁
It was the "love you dad" for me. That was amazing!!!
I lived in the St. Louis/St.Charles/St. Peters area for a little while, really nice area. Especially St. Charles and the Old St. Charles historical downtown. You should take the family down and check it out if you haven't already. And check out Fast Lane Classic cars in St. Charles also! 2:59 you said you were waiting 97 coffee's to be made, some of them gotta be for the Ole Cadillac. Probably could use some caffeine to get goin' 😄
lessons is: STAY AWAY FROM AIR SHOCKS!!!!
If you need ol car parts look up James cumbee in Dublin ky scrap n crapp
@15:25 where is Bently, and why the sour faces😢 in the back seat? It's not all miles of smiles sadly.
Yes, covered bridges protect the deck of the bridge to make it last longer😊
From what I know, covered bridges were built that way to protect the roadway timbers from the weather.
For all the vids that V8 growl is great sounding
What a great car for cruisin' to town in, brother!
If it's in the budget, paint it and do the motor up making it an ultimate sleeper!
Looking forward to what you decide on this rig!
What a beautiful car!!
Nice burnout Derkk
I was paralyzed three years ago and this video showed several different times where there we’re handicapped people enjoying themselves- think about it- you never see that. So cool to see the trends from the 70’s (family dive vacation) coming back.
I just love VGG and hope the Motor Trend project gets the popularity it deserves. You’re not selling anything, you’re not pretending to be anything. You could be the family next door. I grew up in a racing family and your boys are experiencing a very similar life to mine. Good job showing what “middle America” is really about.
The longest covered bridge is in Ashtabula County in O H I O !!!! ✌️😎
Betty was shiten and getten it!!! ❤👊👊👊
You have to make it a 10 second street car
Its good seeing the different cars, from big money cars to everyday drivers It would also be great doing this trip or part of it and Just watched the five days good on you mate and your family and Betty white too , I'm totally hooked on VGG
Most of America's covered bridges were built between 1825 and 1875. By the 1870s, most bridges were covered at the time of construction. The original reason for the cover was to protect the bridge's trusses and decks from snow and rain, preventing decay and rot.
HRPT looks like so much fun. I can't wait to get my old truck… I want to do this! Consider me inspired.
15:40 where’s the kid
Fellers and feletts, that's one CLEAN ass step-dide square body iffa guy ever saw one, and I ain't kiddin ya!
