I explored a Chicago auto auction where cars listed as Vandalism damage were actually totaled due to bullet holes. Each car tells a crazy story but one question I kept asking myself was, why were these totaled? Could they be fixed? Ok, that was two questions but watch until the end to see the worst one of all.

  1. That red SRT definitely didnt have a blown motor, if you pause at 12:09 you can see that the rear tire was sunk in a bit. Those burnouts mentioned earlier looked fresh, either those key fob batteries were dead or possibly someone swapped fobs with another srt in the lot. It wouldve been interesting to see if the lock/unlock worked for that jeep.

  2. Know of a situation where a guy bought a car from a police auction – was driving through the city when some one opened fire on him – he wasn’t hurt but figured that someone may have recognized the car as somebody they were after – so he got a cheap paint job and sold the car

  3. BRAGGS APPLE CIDER VINEGAR REMOVE ANY SMELL OR MILDEW…EVEN USED IT ON A PAIR OF FAIRLY NEW NIKE 13 JOGGERS…($8.00 @ SALVATION ARMY THRIFT!!!) THEY WERE CHEAP BECAUSE OF SMELL!!! 1 TREATMENT OF BRAGGS…POOF…NO MORE STANK!!! I WORE THOSE FOR 5 YEARS…

  4. So these cars would have a salvage title on it? Every now and again I see a completely repaired, salvage title car, and the price is low. What questions should a consumer ask about the vehicle to determine if it would be a good vehicle to buy? How does the insurance industry or bank determine what price to insure or allow one to lend on the vehicle?

  5. What's so wrong with cars that have bullet holes? If that's the whole reason why they are totaled, I would buy one in a New York minute. On the other hand, if the bullet hole car has brains all over the inside that I would not touch.
