Driving a 1973 Duster to the NEW shop in Tennessee! (Bought Sight Unseen) – Car Mod Pros Portal

I bought this Duster from Dylan McCool without ever seeing it in person. He was kind enough to hold it for me for over 6 months – but now it’s time to fire it up and drive it to the new shop in TN! Think it will make it?

  1. Bought 1973 Duster new back in the day. I was a Mopar fanatic. Tourqeflite automatic with slant six was unmatched reliability. My car did not have Duster logo on side. May have been slated to be a Gold Duster. Great memory!

  2. My mother bought a brand new Gold Duster in 1973, I bought it from her in high school. Gold with snake skin roof and fold down back seat. First thing I did was wreak it. I would love to find another one, those seats are definitely not original.

  3. I was traveling in Florida once on a motorcycle trip and also got stuck in a never ending rainstorm. We stopped for lunch at a restaurant and the owners were kind enough to donate custom rain suits just like the one you were wearing. If it works, why not?

  4. A Ford 1946 can replace the Chrysler 1945. The Ford carburetor has the choke on the carburetor. It has a fast idle screw. It should be at 2200. Warm the engine. Set the choke open and open the throttle. The cam will snap to fast idle. Idle is 550D on a Ford.
