  1. Would have been nice to see it with just the cam and carb then the heads. Now we have no clue if the heads where even needed. Trickflows Mopar heads a for SB and BB are not very good copared to what they offer for other manufactures until you get into their race heads.

  2. I still think it was climbing after they tuned it. I think he should have made a pull from 2300 to 6300 just to see where it peaked. I think it had another 2 to 3 numbers, and torque peaked at 4,000. So if it carried to 6200 or 6300 that spread would have been at or over 2000rpm. This is a great little engine. I would have liked to have seen what number it would have made on some good E85

  3. I'd love to see this engine or any other fully-built engine etup with EFI and an aftermarket induction system that has been ported, polished, & port-matched by an expert. I'd like to see not only what the engine is truly capable of, but also whether there is any point in doing all the handwork involved in a porting, polishing, & port-matching job anymore with the really good aftermarket we have now! Is there room to improve a set of Trick Flow heads? Or Air Flow Research? Or Edelbrock, etc….

  4. I have 318 with a 4 inch stroker kit magnum heads a 531 ex 547 intake cam super comp headers in an 89 dodge dakota makes it a 392 it is 40 over. roller rockers roller lifters block is a 72. holley TBI with a mid rise intake all kinds of fun

  5. I have turned my stock rods and crank, forged piston, stock heads and valve springs up to 8200 rpm, no problems. Been running 33 years, two trucks, two Ram Chargers and now in a CJ5. I would have no problems turning that stroker 7000 rpm and if you look at the graph the hp was still climbing so who knows what the peak hp would have been had they done so. As long as your engine is under load you should be safe, one reason why I never power shift at full throttle, always lift slightly when shifting, beats blowing an engine.
