Put a w r x motoring, you won't have that problem
There's a 4th video directly after this that's missing Alex.
Why is the 5th video on the playlist "unavailable"
Have a word with Sonic Alex, I would be a fan here in 🏴
@LegitStreetCars – Is / was there any reason why you didn't put an upgraded turbo even if it's just a few mm bigger (maybe something like a Blouch 20G-XT or 20G-XTR)?

INSTEAD OF…..After Fixing Up My Subaru Here’s Why I Can’t Give It Away To A Family In Need. You Guys Were Right!
But name the projects writing the PART number in the title, not just saying it at the beginning so…..BROKEN SUBARU PART 2
Heres a suggestion…Subaru broken turbo PART1……….Subaru broken turbo Part 2…..etc
Don't do it
Ive given multiple cars to people that are in need and it never really works out they end up selling it to get the money
the old copper washers can be annealed and allowed to cool = and use again once annealed – check them well ! = me subaru also and forester GT turbo SF5 model ! thank`s great videos .
Will you have a video finishing the repairs?
You actually have to remove that bracket for the p/s pump. The long bolt won't clear the intake or cooling crossover pipe
Make sure you take out the screens in the turbo oil lines, that's why the turbos fail
What a waste of new components on such a piece of shit
Your channel names Legit street cars is working on a Subaru outback. I found it funny.
Just pass it over here
Al parecer por ser ensamblado en Indiana usa es malo ,no es el mismo control de calidad que en Japón, por eso prefiero los 100% japonés en subaru
These cars are very comfortable and reliable. Maintenance is key to any car, especially turbo cars. Like any automobile, they have a few issues to deal with. They are pretty easy to work on, parts aren't that expensive. The turbo models in the subaru lineup are more complicated than the n/a cars, I think thats probably true of most turbo/na applications tho.The nice thing about subaru is everything is rebuildable/ replaceable pretty easily. Every 100k you have timing components, water pump, reseal the engine and replace wheel bearings when needed(they actually last a long time tho. like 200k ). Engine removal is pretty easy and can be done in 25 mins.
U love or hate Subaru nothing in between I love them soooo easy to work on like look no broken bolts no aluminum came out with the bolts like every Toyota iv ever touched and has a drain plug for the transmission and an the filter on the outside no one else does that it’s a no brainer and a dip stick for your washer fluid super cool and a starter u can actually find like honestly excellent design I’ll take the head gaskets any day no big deal drove 4 years with bad head gaskets Subarus don’t fail internally like all the other garbage manufacturers
I had a 2004 WRX I bought brand new. Broke the 3rd gear synchro in the 5 speed at 15k miles. Had to threaten corporate to get it fixed under warranty. Wheel bearings made noise. Couldnt get subaru to fix it under warranty, Fix it myself. Blew the engine at 61k miles. Warranty expired at 60k. Rebuilt it myself. Found out it had a badly designed crank, new one fixed the flaw. Car would use a quart of oil between oil changes since new. Fixed that problem with the rebuild. New rings and ball honed the cylinders. Sold it to an enthusiast. Did I enjoy the car…yes…would I buy another subaru…HELL NO!!! The dealers all suck eggs. Only a mechanic can afford one of those piece of crap cars.
Nothing is more annoying than losing a bolt or washer and looking for hours and not finding it. One time I dropped another item after a lost one just to see where it goes – and found them both!
you have a table now
So that guy was smart not to take it
That’s not an OEM turbo unit ….
You could replace the whole engine and trans. For how much money u put in it and u know it works
Don't expect any customer service from rock auto
I have the exact same Outback XT. And of course it is on my lift getting some suspension bushings and axles installed. Good thing my son is a Matco salesman! This a money pit but pretty easy to work on if you have lots of metric tools and another car to drive when you are working on it. Be sure to get the 6000+ page service manual too.
I like your black Bentley S / Rolls Royce Silver Cloud , is it a 1 , 2 or 3 , series one is a 6cyl , 2 is a 6.25 v8 , so is the 3 but the 3 has the double headlights . I had a cloud 3 once .
