18. It's amazing how much fun an event can be, without woke politics crammed all over it.

19. Enjoyed the racing – watched most of it at 2x. The John Birch Society, not to mention McCarthy, would hate NASCAR – everyone's turning left. There were at least three people I watched who shouldn't have been anywhere near the track. Not even allowed in the stands. I think they felt like bumper cars and demolition derby were the way to drive; that's not bumping and rubbing, that's smashing and grabbing. Not sure if it's just me, but one looked like they deliberately hit the brakes to try to force you to slam into them or hammer the brakes yourself – neither of which is a good result. (The first is a bad result for both parties, the second is a bad result for everyone from you back)
