Engine hour to miles formula. Multiply your engine hours by 30 and that should give you an approximate mileage of your car. If it’s about the same as your actual mileage your car hasn’t idled more than normal. If it’s much higher just know the previous owner’s idled the engine a lot and it has a little more wear.

I use rope grease for the subfloor sealing. This lasts an incredibly long time. I also use it to seal all axle parts and so on!! Try it out! You will be surprised!!!

One thing I learned was checking date on spare tire. I had a spare that was factory dated 2008 when it was 2023! And thing had a lot of meat left but dry rotted cracks and spare exploded about a hour after install on the highway..thankfully close enough to tire shop but man pb

I’m guessing you must be planning to repaint painting this vehicle but I don’t know I think I just need a pinstripe on there it looks nice enough but I guess it’s a personal choice obviously it wants to stay on there a little bit more damage trying to get it off.

So crazy how much rust chicago cars get because of snow, its so rare on most cars in california i don’t even check when going over a possible car to buy. The only time i check underneath is when something sounds off on a test drive, which has saved me many times, but never from rust😮💨

A rubber wheel on a drill works well to get that cheezy pinstripe off. Worked on my 1999 Escalade. Didn't hurt the paint. Quick and easy. 3m.
Diamond white is cool. So much better than the give up white on other cars. Same color as my 2003 deville.

Having grown up in New England and now living in Florida, I totally understand your excitement of working on Florida vehicles. First time in a junkyard to replace my New England truck's rear axel, I was amazed at how easy it was to remove the junkyard axel.
My Chevrolet Suburban XLT came to WA from AZ and was super clean like that. Chipped and tuned by Pacific Northwest Truck Racing, 565HP dynoed at the wheels
