  1. I stopped using black rubber O-rings because they took out the V.O.C.s and they only last 10% of the time of the originals. Now I only use the green ones meant for A.C. systems. (Same with all the rubber bushings in the suspension, now I only use Polyurethane).

  2. I would suggest you use something other than gasoline when testing the injectors. Gas is too volatile, I would use seafoam or some other cleaner for the injectors as a test fluid because it lowers the risk of turning into Jay Leno.

  3. I found your channel during the recent DeLorean episodes. I enjoy the no filler content and the actual goals reached at the end of videos. It is refreshing to have someone say in this video this will be done and it is.

  4. Hey Alex, an easy way to deal with a locking gas cap that you don't have a key for is with a radiator hose removal tool. Or any tool that is like a heavy duty pick shapes like a hook. Just run the hook under the cap and lift up around the outer edge and the cap will come right off

  5. While I love the style and the sound of the LT1 in my '93 Formula the mechanical design of these cars is…well, let's say it, terrible. Getting to the rear two spark plugs is very difficult – and you have it a lot easier there with the hood of the Corvette containing the fenders too so you have a lot more space. In an F-Body all of this is covered…it's a nightmare. And let's not talk about the fuel pump that requires you to drop the tank which requires you to literally lower the entire rear axle…

  6. At 34:00, that plastic material around the spark plug wires is called spiral wrap. In aviation we use it to protect wires from any abrasion on contacting surfaces due to vibration. Seeing it on those wires makes little sense to me due to the wires having heat sleeves. Awesome shop and cars!

  7. So, I'm a carpenter. I don't know jack about cars. I ended up spending my day watching you fix this for some reason. I suppose it is like when I restore furniture. Just the act of taking something disused and making it nice again is fun to do and to watch. Kudos sir.
