It’s hard to make a DJ5 Mail Jeep cooler than it already is, but Carcass managed to do just that and build an off-road monster that delivers on its mission of conquering any terrain and keeping its character in the process. The guys sought a unique right-hand drive project that could maintain its allure no matter the project’s direction while providing the off-road performance few vehicles can match on the trails. They did this by stripping down the retired mail Jeep and starting from scratch.

It could use some rock sliders, 5 point harnesses, and some oh sh*t handles.
Why buy a pile of 👀😎crap to try and do heroics on a postal vehicle ??
I think side bars to protect from tree rash would be important to add.
Nice build
I have run into more than 1 Duralast wheel bearing that had wheel studs that overstretched at a reasonable lug nut torque. Last brand I would ever choose, if I wanted to trust the wheel to stay on.
Not entertainment. It's already a classic documentary
What happened to the engine 😢 . No rebuild video 😢
Congratulations man dreams finally coming through proud of you and all the hard work man keep pushing and doing great things ❤️
You can test the transitor to see if it failed. A faulty door swith or bad ground creating repeated switching of the circuit will make a transistor fail. I had a circuit on a pinball machine kill the transistors due to dirty optical switches.
It bugs me that you drill or cut painted metal but don't repaint the edges.
It bugs me that you drill or cut painted metal but don't repaint the edges.
A friend sent me your video Because I also have 3 post jeeps right hand drive I love them Mine does have a 4 cylinder. 151 2.5 l iron Duke. It would be better if it had a 6 cylinder. I enjoyed your video, thanks.
I don’t get it I’ve seen you guys work on many cars many trucks and everything else. Are these customers cars do they go to auction? What do you guys do with all the finished project? Where do they end up?
Love the project. A friend of mine had one of these DJ jeeps, but it was left hand drive. It was an Airforce MP security patrol vehicle from our local air base. Had tons of fun in the woods and fields.
Ps. You guys need to tighten your hardware a little more. Don't be afraid to crank on it a little, especially when using a short wrench.
01:44 what if a snake warmed up and slithered out of them once they are in the shop?
Steering knob !!!
You do a nice Job. But in our Country " Austria" is that absolutly forbitten…. Never do anything on the chassis. Butnice Job …..
I wish new cars has proper frames but nope all intergrated
How did you weld all the way around your roll cage ?
You started with a driver side drop Dana 60 from a Ford and ended up with a passenger side drop Jeep!! Ha Ha !!
Needs some lighting on top
Redid my 5.4l, 3valve. Need a tune; really bad!!! S&B intake with exhaust cutout. Engine runs better; with the cutout closed. Have 37" tires…so; need to turn big tires.
Getting 10.5 mpg. Shifting points are not right. A lot of torque. No high rev. Excitement!
Would a tuner work???
Superior men.
Watching this reminds me just how terrible made-for-cable shows really are. So cringe. YouTubers just get to the point without all the over-produced nonsense.
Desparato ranch 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
I love the square body jeeps simplicity.
I get this. I go to a salvage yard and I start getting head aches looking at different cars and trucks and matching what car engines and transmissions fit together and how.
Antonoff to get the brakes
That’s why it is called welders pants
You know it’s a junkyard, so you cannot always find a clean one
Good job 👍🏾 What kinda drivetrain you going with?
Love that build…. Nothing would be street legal here but… who cares 😂😂😂
Great project.
The front differential cover you got from Summer racing doesn’t have the channel around the ringer area, so it will Throw oil forward properly. You need to Gail Banks cover that does have the proper shape to it to have proper oiling.
lol all that work and your hands were clean as a whistle the whole time.
Oh shiii nvm
If I had all those tens of thousand$$ to spend on brand new parts and engines they just bolt on, and have full access to shop with all the latest tools, lifts, painting booths, 2 axis plasma cutter, man, I would be building some cool shit too. This is just so unrealistic for what an every day Joe can do in his garage with limited funds. I would love to see a full price list on all this crap and a total price. Im betting this little "post office jeep" cost like $50K, lol.
Nice work. I think the steering gear may be a little vulnerable for a hit.
It is a lot of investment knowledge for one jeep. It may use in production line. Off-road vehicles.
Y’all r good
What about the seat belts
Recycling at it's Recreational Best. Well Done.
Why did you spray the body? it was awesome
You modified that green Jeep completely, hardly anything original left, even not the color :). For historic purposes it would have been much better if you would have used the yellow Jeep as your base and then left the green one for someone who wanted to do a more respectful restoration. Sorry, I own an old TJ and I'm pretty disappointed by this project.
What brand of power tools are they using?
amazing
Congratulations a bunch of commercials, I just can't believe that everything used is actually the best when it's obviously a huge commercial.
VERY POWERFUL STRONGLY OFF ROAD. JEEP… NICE FRIENDS…
NICE JEEP 1875. NICE TWO. FRIENDS …
