SO CLOSE To Firing Up The Race Truck (what a MESS) + Bonneville Updates! – Car Mod Pros Portal

We’re in the thick of it now! This late model truck chassis needed so much work. We’re into wiring the Holley Terminator X, and preparing for fuel and air delivery to this 460 CI big block chevy! Plus, I’ve got Pontiac Bonneville updates!

  1. Cable management looks really good, but in places far from heat, using Velcro strips makes for much easier troubleshooting later. You can just unpeel them instead of having to clip zipties and risk cutting a wire. We use them on network cables

  2. Derek, you should buy a cheap feather duster to brush off the computer screen on the plasma cutter. Using your hand to remove debris will scratch the screen and make it unreadable down the line. Thank me later 🙂

  3. Why not name these in some order ? Am I supposed to guess what ep 1 of "so close to fire up" is called ? or link to all episodes in each vid. Why does EVERY vid in a 10 part series NEED TO HAVE DIFFERENT RANDOM NAMES instead of racetruck 1 – startin racetruck 2 – more stuff etc. So people dont need to watch EVERY vid on the channel and guess which ones are related or how many there is.

  4. I'm surprised you're not using some wire loom or rubber isolator anywhere you zip tied a hot wire to the cage. I'd think for saftey because of vibration and wires heating/cooling might cause wire to chaff. But I'm guessing you know more about race stuff then this back yard repair man does. Love your videos

  5. Shame a guy has to make a public reply to those saying "get back to will it run videos!" Completely lost on them how much time it must take Derek away from his family. How can you not see the joy he's having in something completely ground up and where his family can walk in and out of the shop and get involved. For me Derek could make a video about putting his socks on in the morning and I'd be tuning in. Keep doing what your doing Buddy! It's all good stuff. Love to you and the family.

  6. Love watching you when it looks like you're in over your ears to see how easily you get things to come together and get things working it's brilliant to see most these days just throw money at projects but you don't so it's more affordable for others to try

  7. Although we love the revivals, we understand that doing the same thing every month gets boring. So feel free to build motors and put them where they were never meant to be – just for fun! The only thing we're missing is knowing where all these builds end up. PLEASE clue us in. Sell them at auction? What's a genuine VGG custom resto going to cost me?
