In 1980 Freeda Purchased this beautiful low mile 1978 Anniversary corvette. She loved it, and cared for it. She spent quite a bit overhauling it, and making it look great. Years down the road, her daughter would inherit it, and thereafter the daughters son, my friend. That’s where a guy comes in, and where this ’78 is parked in a barn. I’m going to do everything I can to get this car back on the road and running once again!

I really enjoy watching all your videos. Your sense of humour is awesome and I don’t mind spending three hours just watching you go through a vehicle, get it running or not and trailer it back to Tennessee, and what ends up happening in the end is so worth the wait. I wish you made more trips up to Canada because we’ve got some amazing vehicles up here. I’m in Alberta, which is often called Texas’ little brother state.
Thanks for all you do!
best channel i have ever found to watch cant wait for a new video every week thanks for letting us be apart of your life
1 month later…
Upper radiator hose needs new. Kept sucking in when you hit the gas.
Side post the worst invention for a car

What a great episode! I've always liked the C3, but I am 6'6" tall and don't think I could fit in one comfortably. Honestly, after watching this episode, they don't look like much fun to wrench on. I think I would just freshen this one up, replace the carpet, paint it and maybe go through the engine to spice it up a bit. If it is the original engine, I wouldn't get rid of it. I was thinking a nice street cam and an EFI system might be nice. Would make a beautiful Sunday cruiser for a nice drive in the country.
IF YOUR BULBS LIGHT ON YOUR HEADLIGHTS, ,,, YOU CAN REACH UNDERNEATH AND PUSH THEM UP MANUALY,, THEY WILL STAY UP

Can you pull that MO TO and put in a tireburner….then you have a new burnout car ! TIMBO
my kinda ride not shiny, and runs good. lug nuts need to be red for speed. id buy this rig.
@visegripgarage a trick Ive used to "bottle feed" a carb is drill a small hole in a spray can top fill it half way with fuel and after you get it started place the calibrated leak on top of the carb to keep it running
i want to definitely see that pour into the tailpipe method of juicing the engine! Some really good pointers in this video!!!
Tip…
For parking in your garage, push yr car inside finding the optimum position to park, then suspend a tennis ball on string from the roof so that the ball rests gently on the top of the windscreen .
From now on, as soon as you touch the ball, yr parked ..no more bumpin n bangin yr prized wheels…simples…!
One of your best videos. Next steps after making it mechanically sound…….. would like to see a vinyl wrap with the two tone and pin striping.

I hope you vaccumed out that straw so no fires catch.
Do you ever wash it before driving them home? The corvette deserves to be washed first.
Why can a guy only give one thumbs up on this video…?
That was 2 hours and 47 minutes very, very well spend.
Thanks so much Derek for taking us along with your unique sense of humor!
I can see the problem with this vet it's the nut behind the wheel
