  1. Only a guy your age would shoot a load in his pants for an 80's or 90's Oldsmobile. you are making a fool of yourself the way you are acting like a little kid that found a dollar..

  2. I believe the ducting that you found is for cooling the alternator. The alternator location is the reason that I left the Oldsmobile dealership that I worked at. It was just the last straw, for me. GM was NEVER good about paying mechanics and the labor allowance for the replacement of that alternator was ridiculous. It was under the back cylinder head, between the engine block and the firewall/heater box AND above the steering rack and subframe. This video clearly shows just how small the "access hole" for the alternator is. It was an all day job that didn't "pay" all day. NOBODY EVER made any money doing warranty work in GM dealerships without lying about what they did. Anyone that says that they did, is lying. It was such a common thing that the GM Service Reps actually told us to just "keep it at a minimum". The reps called it "penciling the ticket". We had a several names for it. "Hanging hours", "banging the ticket", (magic) "wanding" the paycheck. . . . . you get the idea. The service writers had their own terms for it. Every dealership's staff had different "nicknames". I never had to worry about it because I would do work on my "reps" private cars that he would bring in on his monthly "visits". He would just ask me how much I wanted and he would see to it that I would be over "compensated", at GM's expense, for the work on a warranty "ticket" for a "phantom vehicle". They would be all makes and models. He would acquire cars and I would get them "sellable". I bounced around several dealerships within his "domain" when the guys that I worked with eventually got irritated about my "workload" and complained to management about the "favoritism" the I was being given. Never mind that it was the same "favoritism" that the transmission guys got EVERYWHERE.

  3. I had an Olds Cutlass Supreme, classic tank survived a head on collision when some chick decided she could beat a red light. Let's see you give this girl the royal treatment and make a banger!

  4. I swear .. ever since my race car that ive owned for over 8 years got flooded over a year ago, I've been thinking about getting an older cadillac or g-body and doing a nice sleeper/cruiser build. Now that i've found your channel im seeing you do cars that ive dreamt about having since a kid, this being one of them!! my neighbor with a grand national told me about these cars when I was a young kid and made me fall in love with the whole sleeper style builds.. Man… I love your mustang build, the SHO build and TransAm build. I cant make my mind up now!! guess it gives me more time to save up haha

  5. Got me a Red Top 87 IROC Z for $500 not running plugs looked same replaced plugs wires distributor n Ignition Coil started right up had a cop car ecm chip plug n play in those days like a Nintendo 😂Burned out every time not even trying no tread on the tires didn't help 😂no cup holder no glove box but chicks loved it🎯

  6. I had an 86 fird escort and it did that stalling thing and I was able to get it to run better by cleaning the throttle body inside the rubber boot into the fuel injection. Watching just kinda reminded me of how my first car did that.

  7. I don’t blame you when I saw that body when I was younger. I thought that was a really nice looking car interior is gorgeous too. We have the same taste. That one is in great condition.

  8. I used to have a 1996 Grand Prix GTP with the 3.4L "twin dual cam" motor. Was a great car to me while I had it and looked amazing.

  9. Fresh gas would make a huge difference. I had a garage-kept lawnmower for years. It wouldn't stay started until I draine the tank and put clean gas in it. Damned thing ran like a beast after that.

  10. So easy….shame on this guy putting VPOWER plugs in….I had this motor in 2001 – I tried them and they reduced the power of the motor to where it felt like a misfire at idle and it would stall at stop signs. Then I installed platinum wire plugs and it ran normal again.

  11. My mom had that same car in the 2000s but she had a rack on the trunk same color she had the mutisport version looks just like that and it had the same problems so my dad got rid of it I truly miss that car and haven't seen another one till now I dig that cutlass I hope u hold on to it forever please if u don't I would love to have my mom passed from cancer and and my dad just got rid of it.

  12. My aunt had the same car in the same color. I guarantee she was the only chicken farmer in the country who had one. Her son instead that she take him to school instead of his dad. My uncle's 88 Dodge pickup was too embarrassing for him to ride to school in.

  13. 3:33 "factory sticker that says HUD"…
heads up display was big back then not sure why. My ex had one of these cars just not equipped with the same drivetrain. As a lifelong Oldsmobile lover i still hated that car.
Im 55 and still own my first car, its a 1970 Olds 442.
There is a huge reason why us Olds guys couldn't stand these cars when new. The entire division of GM started building cars that the hardcore brand lovers didn't even want. This is a perfect example of that process and why the brand was killed off. GM thought for sure Olds could and would be the next Toyota or Honda.
This car was supposed to take Accord buyers from the "dark side" and convert them. Their strategy didn't work.

  14. Its not a 442 and its not a Quad 4 so yeah that sticker or emblem was added.
Very interesting car. Even back then the OEMs were trying to force us into automatic transmissions instead of manual. Thats the best thing about this car is the 5 speed and 3rd pedal.
