As Tommy and Peyton resume work on their 1966 Chevy Nova, they suddenly learn that this project may go from Starstruck to Struck Out. With that, they switch gears into another historic muscle car, 1969 Pontiac GTO.

That’s a big boy with a toy👍
An LS engine in a GTO? Unless it's the imported Australian late-model GTO, that's just wrong. It should have a 400 or 455 Pontiac. Why the hell do people think this is the route to take?
I will not be following the GTO build. NO LS …… EVER!!!!!
Man , l like LS engines , and l love old Pontiacs – l just can't bear to see the two together , it ain't fit .
Would you put a coyote engine in a 1969 RS/SS camaro , or put an LS in a 1968 Shelby ? Probably not . Why on Earth wouldn't you put a Butler Performance PONTIAC engine in this very iconic PONTIAC muscle car ?! LS in a '69 GTO 😢
(Spell check edit)
We're on the good goat
That LS is the last thing that belongs in that car. Pontiac engines always ripped, made tons of torque and plenty of “reliable power.”
People need to quit hating on LS. They’re the way to go for a budget ish build per power.
I liked Tommy's method for calculating inflation. Basically, power steering would've been the equivalent of an $800 option today.
The only thing I don't like about the LS in a classic car . Is the individual coils mounted to the valve covers . It's bad enough that they're black valve covers . A classic muscle car deserves chrome valve covers . And a out of the way fender mounted coil .
The reason people are tired of ls builds , me included, they’re like mid 80s red and black mustang gt’s when you went to the track about half the passes were red and black mustangs I like to be something different so people can see my own creation
$3,178. I'll take 10 GTX please.
What type of heads they had on the LS1
I understand that a LS engine is really good in so many ways but i don't think you can or should stick them in everything. If you are doing a Ford or a Pontiac or other car manufacturer it should a brand specific engine
I am Ford guy but Whats not to like about the LS? Inexpensive (relatively speaking) big power with reliability. It’s a great platform
💯💯💯💯💯
I don't hate LS engines but I do believe a GTO should have a pontiac engine
We are sooo old! $40.02 lol…
What belt acc drive are they running
🤘🤘Tommy🤘🤘
Yet another LS swap. Wow ! How original is that ?
Another project and no mercury Cougar 😢. Need to show Mercury some love please.
