  1. I'm not there to lay it out, but it looked like if you centered the carpet most of the seam would have landed under the furniture. I get that it would have left you with 2 seams, but if it landed under everything you'd never sea it again

  2. won't the gasket material cause there to be flex on the structure similar to the carpet? maybe use some of the same adhesive you used on the lotus on the plates it would hold them in place permanently and prevent the corrosion just like it did on the car.
