This is the first ever ETCG Holiday Tool Pick special. I’ve done a lot of tool reviews over the past couple of years and in this episode, I pick some of my favorites for holiday gift ideas. Some of these tools I’ve done reviews on, some I haven’t, but links below for everything in the video.
Some links end on search pages with a listing of several tools. For specific tools mentioned in the video that aren’t listed below, please use the links to the review videos for specific links on those.

Tool Review Disclaimer: ETCG is not paid to do tool reviews. Yes, I get to keep the tools after the review, but I do not receive any financial compensation for any reviews. The views expressed in this video are my own and unsolicited.
Nah, Harbor Freight all the way. I am just a home mechanic, no sense in buying brands like Knipex unless they are second-hand.
I would love all that free shit too lol
Great vid I need some of this stuff.
I found my eyes to be very valuable tools. They make life a lot easier when you have them.
9:54 " The ability to grab your tools, what more could you ask for?"
I'm a heavy equipment mechanic by trade but have worked in the car industry for a few years I have a 3/8 set of those duo sockets and have had a 3/4 air gun necked down too 3/8 and those sockets took that abuse many times very pleased with them I'd never buy another chrome socket after owning those
what are the duo sockets like after a few years use? Im looking at getting some
Just received my GP 3/8 59 pc set! These are nicer in person! The ratchets are fine tooth! Not a snap on ratchet but the sockets are easy to read and thin walled!
6:42 eye Care about you!
8:54 heheheeheh like me…
What model number are your Gray impact set's
Bought some t handles after watching ETCG use them repeatedly. Love them.
those t-handle wrenches were cool and look useful
I like EricTheCarGuy and his videos, there very informative and he performs a really good job. He has a great fun filled personality and charisma that go along way with his viewing audience. Great Job Eric!
you got a new garage?
are very professional my friend l really like your videos
how much of this gift ideas were gifts.
Super helpful!!!!
From Tom, hey Eric, thanx for tips. Hmmm, never heard of Grey Pneumatic or Beta, I quit auto tech in '97 in So. Cal, had carpal release surgery both hands, but we all had mostly the "big three" tools guys servicing our shops. While healing I went to R.C.C. college and got serious about a California smog license, advance tune up class very intense! Went on to become HVACR monster in Las Vegas, grabbed a set of torches like you showed there, but very tricky learning how to braze copper used for A/C lines, without burning holes in lines. 15% silver brazing rods way pricey! I see you have a lot of cool new equipment in shop behind you, so good for you, bro! This old wrencher loves it. Am staying dirty.
2 comments. Knipex are just lovely life time tools, totally agree.
Mechanic style gloves. If you haven't tried them yet, give them a go. I thought they were a bit gimmicky until a neighbour lent me a pair to try. So much nicer than latex gloves. Do you loose dexterity, only slightly, less than you would imagine and on a cold day you actual gain dexterity due to your hands not feeling so cold.
New sub. I'm going to start messing with my car this year. I've always been a car guy but never did the work
Grey pneumatic! Recently bought a 3/8 set and I'm very impressed for what you get for your money
While the grey pneumatic sockets may be an expensive set, you are essentially getting the equivalent of two socket sets, an impact set and a regular set
I'm sorry to say that simple question on Twitter turned out to be a hassle for me. ALL U HAD TO DO WAS FOLLOW ME TO DIRECT MESSAGE ME. Instead you wasted your time to answer me in fruitless ways with various links for the site and what not. Our Honda E (2005) has more than 200,000 miles on it my only question( since u own one andHAD WORKED ON IT) is how or what needs to be done to a vehicle that has a lot of miles. We (my husband and I) want to keep it going another 5 yrs. if u want to answer fine if not that's ok
People say and do` given there situation at the time`if you ran a business and as time went on, you wish you could afford equipment to make your workload easier and improve the income and the opportunity is there and you never took it then what kind of business man would you be ,If you struggle most of your life making ends meet do you really think when you win or inherit money or earn it you ain`t going to make your life style better in any way, To many jealous people in this world. The guy is only doing a review on some items he aint committing a crime`if you don`t agree with this video then thank him for the past vids that have help in the past and be a bit more respectful,Where would most of us be if every one decided to stop making vids on how to repair items in our life.So stop the hate and send a more polite disagreeable post be a better person,
where can i get the T handle?
Love the bloopers/outtakes.
Mary late Christmas Eric. Unfortunately I… do not have a garage/ shop. I only live in an apartment nothing really to work on, oh well I'll find something.
Thanks for keeping us entertained and informed all year. Merry Christmas my friend!
LMAO….2 post stocking stuffer. Nice one!
9:57 ETCG gets a tire mounter and balancer
AMAZING that their are assholes who give a thumbs down to someone who is taking their own free time to give a tool review… People never cease to amaze me
