  1. Drills "brake" when off by literally shoet circuiting the motor. All you have to do is to rewire the switch so that the motor is disconnected when off and then it will just spin with the resistance of the gearbox.. Alternately, using some chainsaw clutches would also have worked..

  2. Lol. Now in all seriousness buy a Bafang mid drive BBSHD 52v 1000w kit and put it on that road bike. I have one on an old Trek mountain bike and can hit 40mph with my 220lbs on it and ride for over an hour without pedal assist. (I have basically the same battery the addamotir has.)

  3. You could have reduced the size of the chainring the smaller the chainring the less force is applied to the rear you could also increase the size of the rear which would do the same thing but seeing as that style of bike you could probably get a smaller chain ring a lot easier than you could a rear Cog that was larger
