Any responsible parent wants their child to be prepared to be a success in the future. Their futures are even more diverse and multicultural than ours. How can they be prepared if they have no understanding of perspectives and experiences outside their own, and how to negotiate those differences?
The cowardice of those who seek to ban a book like this – it takes my breath away.
