The micro:bit is a small computer board with an ARM Cortex-M0 microprocessor plus sensors and LEDS. It is part of an initiative to get kids coding. Interested? Here is my full review.

Business Opportunity in Ruvol
I have invented a Board Game [still unpublished and not yet out in the market] that I believe is guaranteed to be as challenging and exciting as CHESS. I called it “RUVOL.â€ÂÂ
It is my hope that one day Ruvol may surpass chess as the “Number One Board Game in the World.â€ÂÂ
The weakness of chess is it always starts in fixed positions that the opening moves become “memorizable.†In fact, not a few have so mastered the moves that they can play against their opponents “blindfolded.†It is for this very reason that the great Bobby Fischer introduced his so-called “Fischer Random Chess,†where the starting position of the pieces is “randomized†to make the memorization of openings impracticable. Fortunately, it is also for this reason that I invented Ruvol where “every game†has been calculated to be a challenging one to play.
HOW IS RUVOL PLAYED and HOW YOU CAN MONETIZE IT?
I detailed everything in my YouTube video. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcqth0m3-R0
BIG MONEY POTENTIAL IN RUVOL!
It is worthwhile to note that the people who play chess will be the same people who will play Ruvol. In my Google search, I learned there are around 800 million chess players in the world. Even just a small percentage of these 800 million is good enough to earn big money from Ruvol either as an ONLINE GAME BUSINESS or as a PHYSICAL PRODUCT DISTRIBUTOR.

Thanks and God bless!

What's the age category for this?
I have no more ideas.
I am 8 years old. I learn Micro:bit on EDU:BIT expansion board and created a channel for my journey. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdPe2ssHd_g&list=PLqYnlRePR2Ljf718nrHY-0JJH919HHNcn
When you look around the class room and see you are the only one using java script
another popularity contest of programming languages? after suffering basic, machine code, assembler, pascal, c, c++, java, javascript, perl, shell, bash, css, html, php, R, I opt out.
BBC means Big Black Computer
With the release of the Maker Uno, the Micro:bit is looking less appealing
Block building needs to go. Kids will be turned off when they see the complexity of actual code. They are being lied to, they think "Look what I did with my micro:bit, I'm such a good programmer"…. All the while they haven't seen nor written a single statement of code.
nice descusssion
Late 70s and early 80s, not late 80s and early 90s
Thats way too overpriced for its capabilities. If RBP zero can be sold for 5 euros, the microbit can surely be sold for a euro or two.
"Gary Explains" is nice thumbs Up !
Hey Gary,
Why don't you open an YouTube channel named "Gary Explains."
I really like your videos.
Thanks
Thanks youðŸ˜ÅÂ

I have it . . . I got bored of it after 1 computing lesson
Meanwhile, back on my BBC model B…………….
Not really being given away for free as the British public are forced to fund the BBC via it TV Licence
this is great! I've just gotten into programming and I have 2 raspberry pis I've been tinkering with.i was about to buy are but I'm going to try this out instead.

Do you need a TV licence for it lol
Try not to punch a production of it. He will fire you and Amazon are going to make a deal with you.

So funny you would mention Commodore 64 my very first Job was Toyrus where I sold those computer's which got me interested in Tech and Computer's from their I learned how to take them apart. I then went into Manhattan and started looking for a job. Thanks for sharing Memories.Deb
bloody love Gary and his videos. Been watching for ages and these videos are great. Thank you Gary
BBC micro bit? Confusing:/
Gary what are your thoughts on having programming taught in highschools? Maybe not even pure coding, but courses such as Critical thinking, or courses in logic. Teach relational algebra, logic in the real world, and maybe a language like Visual basic.
Myself as a student in Comp Sci, its amazing how this sort of field changes the way you think through complex problems, I personally think it should be a requirement to take some sort of logic class. Huge companies habe recently been sponsoring Code.org in order to help push teaching programming to younger audiences
Gary How much do you earn for one video??
Hi Gary, thanks for this. Have you tried attaching external components using the pins? Is there a connector system to do so or are you expected to solder?
Thanks you for all videos ……
you are the best
I like the ending. That was great with the snow falling and having a cold. Thanx for the vid.
