The Verizon LG G3 — hands-on

1. Can I get a non-Verizon G3 and use the Verizon CDMA 4G LTE Sim to stay on Verizon towers? I have straight talk and want to get a G3, but hate the Verizon logo.

5. By the way the on screen buttons can now be made to autohide if they are annoying. Another awesome feature.

11. ok so I purchased this phone yes I have Verizon, unfortunately when I went to power it up it wouldn't. So I put a piece of electrical tape over the Verizon logo on the front and woolah it started right up…..derp, Ok anyway I had the Galaxy S3 and this phone is a huge improvement, I love not dealing with the side buttons, battery life is fine for the average user, camera is really good, call quality is top notch! and yes there is some bloatware but far less than I have seen in the past. The screen is really nice as well, I put mine in a Spigen Slim Armor and it makes it just the right thickness and it feels less slippery. Overall I really love my new phone!

13. Glad I have a 5s with none of that shitty branding. The android phone companies should boycott verizon until they remove all of their logos. Maybe let them leave one on the back.

16. I just got my g3 from Verizon on Saturday in white and I love the way the back buttons look. I don't mind the logo on the front because I don't look in the upper right corner of my phone that often. It's a great phone so I don't understand why everyone is complaining about the little things.

21. Thanks ac.,. We now nothing more then what we already know about the device. We really didn't need to know about the important stuff, like how the battery fairs under LTE usage.

23. Just got mine. Having issues seeing song info/metadata on car display when streaming via bluetooth. Anyone else have this issue?

24. My concern would be only the on time updates. Now granted I'll probably root it in a month, but say I don't want to use a custom ROM anymore, will I get stuck in the stone age?? Other than that, I can rub off the front stamp.

25. I check these reviews to help with my decision on purchasing or not purchasing this phone…..not to hear whining about a Verizon Logo. Ummm you have Verizon get over it! How is the phone???? 

26. Once they release their new UI for the G2, I think I'll be happier with the g2. Its a quick phone that's not too big and HAS wireless charging built in

28. Verizon Blot with could be removed with rooting and custom ROMs but then just like the G2 there is all the Verizon Tramp stamps all over it 🙁

32. I am so sick of everyone freaking out about Verizon branding who really cares…I mean yea the front logo doesn't need to be there but I could care less that it is…the phones performance is exactly the same as any other version

34. The verizon logo kills it. I have the sprint version and it only has the lg logo. Not even the g3 logo or the sprint logo . Just a clean looking phone.

37. I would go online and look for the stock camera/button housing online and change it back to the original look. That silver look just destroys the overal apperance to me. 🙁

38. For the love of god Verizon why cant you leave shit alone, Why in the hell would they change the color of the buttons and the housing around the camera? What could they possibly have as a reason to make that change? Little things like this is why i cannot wait to move from Verizon. SMH!

39. Ugh why is the AT&T version missing the brightness slider in the pulldown menu :-/
