Amazon Fire Phone hands-on

2. I have used this phone very recently for work. I could only stand it for a short time. With no Play Store or side loading of apps, it is certainly not the Android we all know. The UI is not terribly user friendly as you can not place any apps on the home screen and there are also no dedicated menu, back or multitasking buttons. You do have an app drawer, but can not create folders to more personalize the experience. This seems more like the smartphone for someone that has never owned a smartphone before, then a phone for your regular smartphone user.

5. All the flipping to open side windows will eventually begin to hurt wrists and cause medical issues .i personally don't like android, it's too stiff and boxie.most android users use android bc they have never experienced iOS before.

6. Camers are a gimmick, it wont last. Work on nice speakers like HTC and super screen quality like G3's.

7. Very interested to see how they will hold their own against Google and Apple's OS.

9. Does the amazon fire phone have stereo speakers at the bottom with another speaker at the top? Or is it stereo because it has one speaker at the top & 1 at the bottom with a microphone in one of the speaker grills?

12. Why in the hell is AT&T ONLY, didnt you learn from Iphone when first launched,
    Sooner you will realize how F$#$ed up AT&T service is,and customer service,
    Terrible decision making.

13. $650 so I can get a subpar phone on a bad carrier so I can make more money for Amazon?  Should have sold a $10 app.

15. The good thing about the phone is all of the features look like they work like there supposed to but unfortunately the phone lacks having a good user interface :/

17. Why should I pay $649 for this thing unlocked? or $199+2yr plan? this phone is practically a Nexus 4 from 2 years ago with a gimmicky 3D thing and a bunch of data mining stuff so amazon can sell me shit.

    For firefly alone they should give this phone away for free with the plan.

19. 8 Mega pixels? It is 13 MP. I don't know why people are hating this phone and becoming very judgmental without even actually touching it and using it. So far, looks cool to me. If I had been living in US then I would have defiantly bought one already.

22. Must be nice to be Jeff Bezos to have all of this money you don't mind losing on a product like this. Anyone thinking this phone could be a success??? Well all I have to say is "Silk Browser"…just awful…also you only get amazon app store…They should have this phone in their "Amazon Basics" generic category!

25. It would drive me insane having to jiggle my phone around like that all the time – I wonder if you can turn all that stupid gimmiky nonsense off and just swipe in from the side or something?  If not, this thing is doomed.
