Happy Holidays Eric!!
Please advise me on what the average cost is for the following.
My parents are in their 80’s and drive a 2004 Oldsmobile Silhouette with 89,000 pampered miles.
Last month the transmission started jerking through each gear as it shifted. Nothing broken or leaking.
The employee at O’Reillys said it’s an internal pressure switch.
Local dealership wants $7,522 for a new transmission labor included (I think the dealer is trying to rip my parents off).
Any advice is welcomed and appreciated.
Thank you. Joseph
Thank you sir and give Bob Likis a huge thumbs up 😎ðŸ‘ÂÂ
Actually it would be 97-04. 05 was the new body style.
I just replaced the cabin filter on my venture with Wal-Mart brand filters. They didn't have the plastic edges like the ones in this video.
Thanks Eric. That really helps me.
How can I thank you! Oh my gosh, I’m a broke 18 year old with little knowledge about cars and you just saved me. Not to mention I have 115 degree days here in Arizona. No a/c sucks! Now I have a/c. Can’t thank you enough!
you've earned your success Eric, all the best…
I had one of these a year and a half ago. It was my first van and I loved it. I can't say it was a return love because it died within a month of ownership because of a blown head gasket. The air filter is a really easy install.
this is one of those vehicles that the cabin filter has about the same life span as the car itself.
do a bmw e46
then on day its smoked hard when water pump went
i had one its was really good reliable van for 4.5 years my dad drove never broke down
I get it. Lets use 2 filters to increase the possibility that unfiltered air can make it in to the cabin. anyone else see that? a good 1/2 gap between the 2 filters?
So that's like….one of the only sensible, easy jobs on these vans? lol.
It could be a cool idea to avoid getting glovebox out of the way, but as the filters are dirty it turns out to be stupid.
Eric do a 2002 Park Avenue! 😉
Eric: Its like a onion.
We: makes you cry?
Eric: NOO, like LAYERS…
We: OOOOOH!!!
