Overfishing is causing this along with the Shark population has been brutalized by fishmen killing shakrs for their fins or in their nets by accident. Less predators means more seals. Humans need to waKe up and stop destroying our oceans.

And, for the benefit of the tourism industry, when attacks are reported by the media, they tend to be highly sanitized, substituting the word "injury" for "severed leg" or "bitten in half", for example. I love sharks but please, be careful. It is scientifically unlikely humans are mistaken for seals ! Sharks are smart and have great vision. If they chow on a human, it's because they want to, not because of any confusion on their part.
