Pentagon skeptical about Russia’s ‘withdrawal’ from Kyiv

1. They should be skeptical over the US withdrawal from Afghanistan

7. I think Putin is trying to shock Ukraine into peace talks, wherein they cede the eastern quarter, probably including Mariupol, to Russia. The eastern quarter of Ukraine is mostly Russian speaking, stronger ethnic ties to Russia. My guess is that this was the main goal of Russia from the get-go with the amount of military committed. If they had somehow snatched all of Ukraine, great…but I think they are smart enough to know their troop numbers aren't enough to conquer and occupy all of Ukraine. I think the eastern quarter as the prize was the expected goal from Putin.

13. If America would have gone to war against Ukraine,  and Ukrainian fighters were given the same advanced weapons that they have today, America would have not been able to win.
    It took America with the help of other countries with combined force of troops from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Poland over one month to invade Iraq, much smaller country than Ukraine,  many as 15,000 Iraqis were killed in the first days of America's invasion of Iraq. Iraq was much smaller country,  having nothing but deserts, Ukraine is much bigger country, and full of buildings. Russia has not even used more force and more advance weapons yet because it doesn't want civilian deaths,  but America did everywhere,  in first day of Iraq invasion 15,000 civilians died. Looks like Russia is doing a better job in Ukraine.

31. i think he never said he withdraw his attacks, just scaling down. and from the beginnign he said it is not an invasion, it is a special military operation to free the russian pro donbass and other region and destroy ukraine ability of bomb dobasss and prevent it from joing and becoming nato military base, which has been his primary concern for years. the only people keep on saying it is invasion is the west haha. i am not supporting any war but just needs to tell facts. but whatever ..
