I Upgraded my Salvage Audi R8’s Wrecked Suspension & Saved $3,000 in the Process!

1. Having repaired and reinforced the cracked areas, wont this just mean that the cracks could appear elsewhere? What was the reason you didn’t take the opportunity to reinforce in other areas to completely remove the risk of further cracking later down the line?

8. okay so the window says 42,680. its that how much the R8 cost for you? if you really got a running r8 and fixed it for under 4k you made out with a damn r8 for under 50k… You sir are a legend.

9. At the factory the frame is heat treated after welding, so the welds are hard and strong. An aluminum weld without heat treat is really weak.

10. I've bent struts back before. If the seal and everything is good, bend it straight. It'll work fine. Or not, but all it costs to try is a little sweat.

11. So What did you pay for it at auction?

12. Isnt the point of mag shocks to dynamically adjust the firmness of the shocks. Sure they fail and are more expensive but there are aftermarket mag ride and dynamically adjustable coilovers and for 400 dollars more on top of whatever those coil over cost i would expect a audi mag to standard mag conversion

13. You never cover up a warning light on the instrument cluster.
