What was discovered?
If anyone wants to know what this is actually about there's an article here: https://www.galapagos.org/newsroom/new-taxon-of-giant-tortoise-discovered-in-galapagos-islands/
Basically it's about a new taxon of giant tortoises, meaning that the ones on San Cristóbal Island in Galápagos are genetically distinct and in need of a scientific name, and the C. chathamensis name they had now needs to be called extinct.
I once saw the spirit of ex in the turtle
