One thing I have learned is that Russian parents obviously never go through that thing where you explain to your four/five year old child who has just crossed the line that “Waah, what about what that other kid did to someone else some other time, somewhere else! is not a valid response. And definitely not an excuse. It seems to be in fact quite a popular defense among Russians. And Putinists everywhere.
This is another clear example of why the UN Security Council is the biggest joke in international politics and policies. Absolutely worthless, just like the League of Nations was ineffective in making the World a better place for all.
I hope this part of some a process that has an outcome for Russia’s membership of the UN Security Council. Or even its membership of the United Marions at all.
