According to the newest data, inflation is 7.5% for the 12 months ended January 2022 (highest since February 1982) and after rising 7.0% previously. The next inflation update is scheduled for release on March 10, 2022. (8:30 am ET). It's important to not cherrypick the dates & also to look across sectors not only the overall CPI. For example, food and energy will both show an increase but there is a huge gap in the growth rate. (also remember gas prices rose prior to Ukraine Russia issue so can't be blamed on that & Biden's policies directly affected gas prices).
Here's an extract for you copied below. The source is U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics published Jan 14,2022 with the title "Consumer Price Index: 2021 in review." WOW 😑
Biden making us look weak to the world.
He scared to really help Ukraine
Wont cut off getting gas from Russia
Scared to cut off air space
Scared to give them airplanes .
He is a weak lying coward
Never trust politicians whose solution to solve problems is by big government
It takes two to three days to charge an electric vehicle at home 8 hours on the road and my area I don't know of one charging station the electricity at a charging station will probably cost more than gas these cars are way overpriced no one is equipped to work on them I wouldn't have one of the damn things the world's not ready for this junk that's something you have to transition into slowly and have both let people decide let's go Brandon moron
That was the most pathetic display I’ve ever seen talk about gaslighting. He must think we’re all idiots.
Kamala's look is ofuk I might be President soon, while Joe speaks of Iranian deer wearing Kevlar vests and Nancy is ringing her hand of her involvement leading to the situation in Ukraine.
All I hear what he wants to do. Trump actually kept his promises. One example is lowering prescription medications.
It’s cheaper to buy cocaine and run where you need to go, that’s how his son gets around.
How to combat inflation? Let's see. Stop illegal immigration. Stop printing money. Stop the AOC giveaway programs for people who DON"T want to work. Stop handing out money to people who pop out kids. Bring back our energy independence.
Biden did not share the current state of the Union because it’s a mess.
You can fool some of the people all the time
He didn't lay out no strategy. He has no plan for anything!
what a goof raise minimum wage to 15 dollars an hour minimum wage should be like 50 dollars an hour at this point i work with a single mom that works part time that got 30k in child tax credits a free house to live in rent free i said house not apartment from section 8 1500 a month in food stamps which she lets friends use the card and then gets paid cash for letting them use her card because she gets free school lunches and the school brings her food for her home so she dont even need the food card free internet free electric bills and free health care if i had to guess shes getting over 100k a year in welfare benefits geez joe thanks for trying to raise the minimum wage to 15 dollars an hour for a working poor childless adult who didnt have kids because they didnt think they could afford them and hasnt burdened society pretty soon whats gonna happen is the governments gonna raise property taxes up and welfare benefits up and all the people who behaved badly will be living in the houses that working people used to live in this country should be ashamed and its people should be ashamed
Hair sniffer.
"now look " look guys" a genius who repeats their own catch phrase. Surprised he didnt start whispering.
if you ripped up a previous sotu speech, you should not be at another one. Ever.
This is great Biden. Thank you for looking out for the little guy!
Every day the phone rings….every day reality is on the line….every day Joe Biden whispers, "wrong number" and hangs up. : ) A typical day for Joe The Joke & CommaLa The Vice Joke! : )
🥱😂🤣it's an act!!!
Liar and a fabricator. Build Back Better?😂😂
How is lowering the price of something – as in make it easier to afford – supposed to reduce inflation? In this current environment the problem is too much money chasing too few goods, not the other way around
Am I losing my mind? I feel as if NOTHING was answered no form of plan was presented. Just a lot of things that are objectively great no one would disagree too and no plan as to how to achieve that?
Anyone else feel like we are collectively getting gaslit as a nation?
"Putin may have surrounded Kyiv but he will not win the hearts of the Iranian people." Senile Joe Biden, sharp as a round rock. His State of Disaster speech left no doubt about his mental deterioration.
They always bring up lowering prescription drugs and they never do it.
DoYa 👠comedian Jon Stewart? He says: '…Inflation is NOT caused by (🇺🇸 Presidents)…" DoA YouTube SðŸâ€ÂŽrch: "Corporate Greed is Causing Inflation" on Jon's Channel: 'The Problem with Jon Stewart'
you can't lower the price, you can increase the pay.
Inflation you say?
Union Wages In The Middle 60’s And Inflation.
I joined the workforce in the middle 1960’s and had to join the Painters Union to work as a Drywall Finisher. It was hard work, but I did well at it. Union wage-scale was $5.75 an hour when I started and by 1969 they had gone up to over $8.00 an hour. This does not seem like a lot, but for inflation you can 12 times this amount for 2022 and that will cover for inflation. So then take the 1960’s rate of $5.75 an hour, it becomes $46.00 per day, $230.00 per week, $920 per month, $11,040 annually. We were also paid extra for overtime work and vacation pay.
Union Membership meant we had people that bargained for work conditions and fair wages. We paid dues to be Members and there were Apprentice Training Levels, to achieve Journeyman status, to get increased wages and seniority. Union Wages were more than non-Union-participants made, but they were close to non-union wages. Today’s Unions are often far from the member helpers of the past. Wages on Federal jobs can be nearly double what local wages are. (Paid with our taxes.)
So I’ll take the annual 1960’s wage of $11,040 and multiply that by 12 and we get $132,480 annually, if it were to keep up with inflation. If next we take a modern higher salary, of $60,000 and do the same, to consider inflation, $60,000 Annually nowadays times 12 = $720,000. This makes sense, because in 1966, 1967 a new home cost $12,000 to $14,000 dollars and a new pickup truck was about $2,500.00 Fuel was 22 cents per gallon. And at $11,040 annually and good credit, one had no difficulty acquiring the foundation basics in life. Taxes were also way less then. A home (the American dream) could be paid off in a couple of years.
$60,000 annually… An 8 hour day, 5 days a week is 40 hours and so in a year that would be 2,080 hours. In wages, that turns out to be approximately $28.80 dollars per hour. On the other hand, a 12 hour day is 60 hrs. per week and 240 hrs. a month and 2,880 hrs a year. So then at $60,000 annually, the hourly wage would be $20.80 dollars an hour. How much is a new home nowadays? A new vehicle? Fuel? Taxes? Is there time to keep up with chores, family, repairs, your own improvement?
The latest huge gifts of monies to foreign countries/frenemies, meant the common people will absorb the debts and all the related coming inflation. Now, according to Biden, there will be significant tax raises. So then we have become high-tech slaves at large that work most of their adult lives to pay for a home, college and health problems?
Companies have subtle ways of clipping our fair wages!
Roberto
The solution to stop inflation is very, very simple: stop printing money for a while!
Joe and his group of clowns are pathetic.
