31. Washington and the media had been crying "wolf" ever since December 2021. The "wolf" never showed up all that time, until now, turning fear into reality.

    People were being told that the invasion would take place "any day now" as far back as December. Meanwhile NATO had already outright rejected the key security concerns Moscow wanted to discuss, presumably before making any decision to take military action.

    Rejecting Russia's key concerns right off the bat meant that diplomacy had no chance of moving foward. Furthermore, NATO complimented this rejection with provocative threats of dishing out the "mother of all sanctions", if Russia were to invade, while endlessly supplying Ukraine with sophisticated weapons. These actions only reconfirmed Moscow's fears about stationing "offensive weapons" in Ukraine, and the ultimate entry of Ukraine into NATO.

    The last thing Moscow wants is to have one more NATO country in its backyard, to complete NATO's encirclement of Russia. If Ukraine were to become a NATO member, then it would mean that Russia won't be able to make any unauthorized entry into any part of Ukraine, including the Russian-backed separatist strongholds, without triggering a NATO military action. So, in the event Russia felt threatened by developments in a "NATO Ukraine", entry into Ukraine would prove complicated, which is the sort of taxing situation Russia would prefer to avoid, if possible.

    Ultimately, the constant sounding of the alarm by Washington [and the propaganda media] about an "imminent invasion" ended up doing what Washington said the hysteria was intended to prevent: give Moscow an avenue to start war!

    Ukraine should thank the U.S. for the situation it now finds itself. The U.S. was instrumental in shutting down diplomacy on day one, by putting Russia's key concerns off the table.
