The last thing we need to finish on our salvage Porsche 911 rebuild project is to paint the lower quarter. Lets see if we can do it outside.

Your mechanic skills are awesome, your painting skills are good, but please get rid of that rotary. You polished the holograms of hell into your panel. Get a random orbital and you will never have holos again.
You should take me in so I can learn how to do everything you do in the process. How to find the perfect car, what to look for, how to fix it, and then sell it.ðŸ˜ÂÂ
Looks great so far. Keep it up! ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»
You need a garage bro
1500 then 3000 all wet then buff and polish
You doing a good job Sam. You need a tack cloth between base coats. Tack cloth will remove excess paint and roughness. It’s a must have item. Also you can use it before painting to remove dust. Using a Good paint gun with the right adjustment will make your paint Much smoother. Also you should consider buying a inflatable paint booth on eBay they work really good.
I honestly felt at the end he was going to give the rebuild a Samcrac Score.
4:55 And now the edge of the door has a beautiful 2" scratch.
Are you Doug Demuro's brother?
great work! you give me courage to buy my firts porsche 911!
You blended far to big of and area and there was no need to fill in those minor little dents, anyone that does PDR could have had those out in under 30 minutes.
Just get the car wrapped.
Awesome!
Quarter panel looks purple next to the door. Maybe it’s just the light. You should straighten out that uneven gap between the front hood and bumper.
Nice job Sam. And I couldnt wait till you got rid of the 107333 number on the window !
Man, you could have gotten so much more out of the Porsche while buying it for that price
Surprised you don't outsource your paint and body work. Same argument as the caliper coating in this video. Cheaper and better in the long run.
When you learn body work and painting cars on 911.
Bad rebuild
Are those tints legal?
It's a nice 20 footer. I would definitely drive it
nice work!
cringed when he sanded the edge of the door.
Not bad paint job for a beginner. Just like everyone he will get better. I need to repair my bumper on my 1989 Mustang GT.
You were worried about the blend line but you can see the sanding right beside the rear window is still there too. https://youtu.be/HPOTkDGhJJg?t=751
Oh oh, look at how uneven the bumper skin is uneven, pushed in on the RF side. I mentioned on the first video that if the bumper shock is pushed in it needs to be pulled out. If it's not the shock then the frame is damaged. I wonder if this vehicle would pass a write off inspection? I am a few months late on viewing this rebuild, sorry I wasn't there to help right from the start. Why did you bondo shut the running board to fender? Scare off any potential buyer.
Quarter panel looks purple and doesn’t match door.
The paint doesn’t match from bumper to hood
Sam, as a collision center owner, I must say if we performed like this we'd be out of business. That vehicle was totalled because it couldn't be repaired properly based on it's value. You just proved that point. Are you going to sell this car to some unsuspecting sucker? I hope not, that would be unconscionable. I've spent a fortune on employee training, equipment, and wish it was so easy.
Looks like may 1999 to 2001 Porsche's on CarGurus for 15 to 22K. Just love DIY? Show is awesome watch regularly.
Absolutely brilliant!!! I’d love to buy one and land as lucky as you did. No frame damage was a huge bonus. Plus the fact this model has a really rounded front end. It’s like the designers got sick of tweeking the same model body every year or two. Just gave up and clicked on autofill on the old Cnc machine and boom!!! A honker of a nose
