  1. It was wrong for Remington to settle with these families. It was a tragedy but it is the person who uses the gun or whatever kind of weapon used to kill someone else it's the person's fault not the weapon.

  2. Blaming the gun or gun manufacture is not right . People say it was an assault weapon , no it's just another firearm .Just think if this monster went in with just a regular shotgun and buckshot , how many would have been killed . Nobody wants to say it , but we don't have a gun problem , we have a PEOPLE problem . This would be like , quit making cars , so we don't have drunk drivers .

  3. Such BS, Remington had nothing todo w that shooting. Blame his mother. A gun doesn't kill unless someone pulls the trigger. No one ever blames budweisser or coors after people die from DWI crash.

  4. Yea "cold feet going into the case" the casual attorney states holding a plastic cup. If George and Nancy Lanza had gotten their son Adam help instead of buying him a 223 and thinking taking him to the range would help..WTF????? Thing was everyone in the community was aware so don't blame Remington as horrible as the shooting was.

  5. Ah yes I remember when Remington forced a young adult to shoot his mother with her own gun and when he was forced to take the gun to school and Remington said Unbenounced to him "go and kill". what horrible ways the world works.
Omg a ford pickup truck just ran over 3 people and injuring one, can't anyone stop ford and their vehicles of death, do they even have to follow laws.

  6. the shooter could have bought a weapon from heckler and koch instead and achieved the same goal so suing a weapon manufacturer because of a shooting is extremely dumb

  7. The fact there’s people who don’t find this absurd astounds me. Granted the tragedy that occurred is really sad, and I wish all the best and recovery to the victims families. But what in the hell! Manufacturer has no part in this. For all the people who blame them for making an “assault weapon of mass destruction” is just straight propaganda. People are just money hungry and this shows clear as day

  8. It’s Chevy’s and Budweiser’s fault for my drunk driving accident…….you guys have opened one hell of a can of worms now…..

  9. So tell me again how this isn't about money? And I guess this isn't how much their children are worth? Next up, suing McDonalds because my kid has food induced diabetes.

  10. Remington have supposedly settled $73 million with Sandy Hook families. For what?? Why are Remington paying out damages? They didn't pull the trigger that day.

So, on that basis, if Lanza had used an Estwing hammer instead of a Remington firearm, would Estwing be liable to pay damages to the families of the slain? That's an absurd notion. It's ridiculous that Remington be forced to pay out.

This is a new level of litigiousness, from an already over-litigious culture.

Furthermore (and moreover) I find the decade-long, dogged pursuit of money from any and every potential source (it matters not, it seems) that are even remotely connected to the events in Sandy Hook by the families of those stolen angels wholly unpalatable. It paints a squalid image of their characters, if I'm honest. Soulless.

After all, no matter how much material gain they make from their endeavours, it will never be enough… correction …it should never be enough to fill the hole left in their lives.

Money shouldn't fulfill that role, because it doesn't bring emotional contentment. Quite the opposite, actually. Though that's likely a forever lost, evermore distant concept for them, at this point.

The US isn't half setting some crazy legal precedents in recent years. Does NOT bode well.

  11. "This case was never about damages in a sense of compensation"
🤣🤣🤣🤣 yes it was and if they really care about gun violence they should donate half of the money to a hospital that sees a lot of gun shot victims

  12. Every gun owner should go out and purchase a new remington firearm it wasnt the GUN or the bullet it was the shooter that caused those deaths … if that wa the case Samsung and Apple are responsible for FAR more deaths than gins have Ever caused in America involving texting and driving … as are those Huge in dash GPS units that keep distracting drivers

  13. I hope these families enjoy the money while socialism takes another bite out of America. They should be ashamed of themselves. Adam Lanza's mother and him are the ones to blame, not the manufacturers of an inanimate object. When you keep firearms within reach of mentally defectives, this is bound to happen. msDnc, the china virus news network and these rotten parents are part of the destruction of this country.

  14. It's about time the manufacturers are held accountable for marketing these weapons. We go after drug growers, their supply chain, etc. We also held cigarette companies accountable. This is no different.

  15. This is the American law that punishes somebody else for government incompetence. What Remington Arms has to do with the massacre at Sandy Hook? Why the families would go after if all these children were blown up by explosives? The explosive's manufacturer? Why the State or the Federal government does not have a fund to compensate victims of crimes? A woman get murdered, her family or children get nothing, why the Sandy Hook families get $73 millions , yet hundreds or thousands of women get murdered and families get absolutely nothing. The same thing with the Opioids, why the manufacturers have to pay for people's incompetence? Why the substance is not better controlled? You get 12 pills after a surgery or simply for chronic pain, if you take them in one shot, that is your problem nobody else, the people who abuse the opioids, would abuse illegal drugs if they had access to. I am glad I do not live in that crazy country , where total strangers have to pay for the governments' incompetence, yet the Federal government prints $ trillions of dollars with total disrespect to the world financial market, this hyperinflation is well deserved.

  16. This is just the start toward restricting these types of weapons to civilians. We need an assault weapons ban. They're only should be used on the battlefield by a soldier to inflict numerous casualties on the enemy. A civilian doesn't need this kind of weapon with this much firepower for hunting or self defense. There are many guns on the market that will do the same job. If you want to handle this type of weapon join the military.

  17. You guys are missing the point. It's about an assault rifle that was made to kill not 1 but many lives(humans or animals)in the shortest amount of time that is at fault. A weapon that should not have been sold to ordinary citizens. I wonder if it were one of your kids who died , would you still have same opinions.

  18. I'm NOT a gun owner but this is pure BS…

What does Remington have to do with a Mother buying a gun for her son then taking him to the shooting range to practice shooting it? The same mother who told babysitters never to take their eyes off her son because he could be potentially dangerous…the same mother who was the first victim of that son.

  19. I'm NOT a gun owner but this is pure BS…

  20. So basically…I can drop off my son at school, pull back around, get back in line, pull up to the door, put my car in park, go inside, find my son, kill him with a Smith & Wesson M&P AR-15 and go to jail while my other sons sue Smith & Wesson and collect millions of dollars…

Oh ok…just wanted to know how stupid we’ve gotten over the last 2022 years…got it. Thanks 👍🏼

  21. MAKING MONEY OFF OF DEAD CHILDREN!!! YOU'VE got to be kidding me!!! SHAME Shame Shame on the parents of the CHILDREN AND ATTORNEYS that took the case to FILL THEIR POCKETS WITH DOLLAR BILLS!!!
    You're all pathetic!!!
    WRP

  22. Using the Remington Arms/Sandy Hook law suite case as precedence I want to sue any automobile manufacturer, and find them liable, any time someone uses their vehicles in a DUI incident; high-speed chase resulting in death, injury, or property damage; robbery getaway attempt, endangering the public safety; vehicle vs vehicle or vehicle vs pedestrian incident; etc. Also, in addition to holding the automobile manufacturers responsible for anyone causing death or harm to others while driving their vehicles under the influence, I want to sue manufacturers of any alcohol product, as they are equally culpable. There is absolutely no difference in what I am suggesting when compared to what has happened to Remington Arms, after all, if a gun-maker can be held liable for the actions of a customer who misuses/ abuses their product, then the same can be proved of all manufacturers, no exceptions allowed. Once Pandora's box is opened, there is no closing it.

  23. Look at the common denominator for all these mass murders (hint it is NOT guns), from the "going postal" attacks foreward – the Lousiville Standard Gravure shooting (Prozac – 8 dead), the Wakefield, MA Edgewater Technology shooting (Prozac – 7 dead), the New York Subway Bombing (Effexor, Prozac & Buspar) , the Conneticut Lottery shooting (Luvox – 5 dead), Unibomber (Trazadone – 3 dead 23 injured), Andrea Yates (Effexor & Remeron – 5 dead) & 98% of all mothers killing their children, the Atlanta Day Trader Shooting (Prozac – 13 dead),  Seal Beach, CA Salon shooting (Trazadone – 8 dead), Washington, DC, Navy Yard shooting (Trazadone – 13 dead), the Germanwings Plane Crash Murder/suicide (Celexa 150 dead), the Littleton, CO Columbine High School shooting (Luvox – 15 dead), the Higlands Ranch Stem school shooting (Zoloft & Abilify – 1 dead) & 98% of every school shootings, the Aurora, CO Batman Movie theater shooting (Zoloft – 12 dead), & the last 2 large shootings in Atlanta & Boulder both shooters were in programs where antidepressants are the standard expected "treatment" drugs that list as side effects & abrupt withdrawal effects as  psychosis, & suicidal & homicidal ideation (compulsions)…see more complete list & science at
