Docta, Docta, gimme the boost!
When you pull timing you are not reducing boost, you are increasing boost. Advancing the timing gives the turbine less heat energy which means less turbine speed.. when you pull timing theres a flame front exiting the exhaust ports that feeds More heat energy to the turbines which then spins the turbos faster which makes more boost. Just a friendly tuning 101 tip.
