They’re sick because they’re in Ohio.
I hope they closed off the pool after this happened!
Maybe put a strong smell in it, if it's building up enough to harm people? Like they do with natural gas. You know when you smell that rotten egg smell to get the hell out. I'm sure there's a reason they can't…..just a thought
All hotel rooms should be required to have carbon monoxide alarm detectors

A good insurance company would have had an inspection done on this property for and made a recommendation for a co2 detector. I look for this hazard at just about every hotel pool I look at. Especially indoor pools!
I heard burning of throat which would be more attributes to chlorine gas poisoning. Since it was around a pool…
They literally say they in this that carbon monoxide is a silent killer with no irritation problem.
That 13 year old boy who lost his life due to poor conditions in a hotel pool was from my town. So unfortunate. Hold these places accountable!
I always bring my own portable carbon monoxide detector with me when I stay at hotels. Ever since that young boy died at a hotel stay with his poor mom . RIP.
Man that's scary!! I'm glad everyone is okay.
guys the hotel is a hamton in… i used my eyes
ok now i have a reason to never use a indoor pool thanks for the heads up outdoor pools are much better anyway
I bring my carbon monoxide alarm where ever I go.
I’ve been a pool technician for years. I also work on pool heaters almost every other day. This is bizarre. I have never heard of anything like this. The only way I can see something happening is if the heater is indoors, and the ventilation for the heater exhaust got clogged. That’s the only thing I can think of. Very sad story.
Hotel are required to have smoke detectors, why not carbon monoxide detectors?
