    There’s better ways to show support to LGBT, such as classifying sexual orientation as a protected class which receives equal protection under the law.

    And yes I understand that some religions do not value the lives of gays, and I’ve come to terms with that: you simply can’t change the beliefs of some people. But to play devils advocate, what if someone creates a religion that gains enough popularity to be recognized legally, and this religion only allows white people to participate? If this religion were to have foster homes, then they could refuse to allow people of other races to adopt because “muh religion”. Will the guise of religion enable people to discriminate unjustly and bypass civil rights?
