Lions play in snow in Pennsylvania

1. Looks like they have a winter coat but in Africa does it even snow in their habitat? 🤔

4. This is really cute but the one boy that is limping and has holes in its fur makes me sad! 😿

5. They even managed to make a snowball and roll it around. That seems like such a cat thing to do.

10. Lions live in a variety of habitats but prefer grassland, savanna, dense scrub, and open woodland. Historically, they lived across much of Europe, Asia, and Africa, but now they are mainly found in parts of Africa south of the Sahara.

    These lions were originally brought here to PA. Unwillingly, that is.

12. It appears as if they were enjoying the snow, in the thier protected environment.
    It's interesting too think how different a place north America would be if our wayward species had gotten across at the bering sea: Saber tooths,whooly mammoth , and whooly rhinos, and other species bison wouldn't be the only thing in the history books.
