  1. The first guy said he's on social security and he doesn't have enough money to survive.. But he doesn't pay rent. SSI gives out a thousand a month. What is he spending his money on?

  2. Not everyone can have a job, it's impossible just with the math. Mental health is also an ongoing issue. Rent is so fvcking high right now it's criminal. It's looks like a great start! I'm sure taxes could cover it. But instead we spend 10 billion dollars on a telescope to see pretty colors. Unless it cures cancer the telescope can wait.

  3. How is it legal to just put someone who pays their rent on the street?? I mean, I understand the owner can sell suddenly, but there was no mention of that happening here.

  4. What we see unfolding is a permanent dispossession of the poor (and increasing the middle class) from housing to make way for wealthy tenants who can pay higher rents to maximize returns for real estate investors and speculators. It is the financialization of the housing market and the conversion of our housing stock into assets for investment firms. The only long-term solution is to bring housing out of the market and into public ownership.

  5. It's understandable that they didn't want it there. Look how many camps ARE a problem. The ones who don't act like they have sense simply don't want to. All of you who defend the ones who act like fools are who keep it going.

  6. Tiny homes with dedicated communities for types. 55 and up or kids ,pets, rules for each. And alot of institutions to treat levels of mental health

  7. What ever happened to the concept of a utopia?
Reality removed it's mask and that what was considered a frame work of a utopian society was just a Vision of the few and not of the many .
No one wants to work and pay their own way while others that are capable of pulling their own weight chose to live in a society but refuse to be a part of the society that they once were a part of . To have adopted a Mentality that all they have to do is pitch a tent and beg , barrow and steal to maintain a life style that is totally self consuming and completely moral less . When they urinate and defecate on the streets and side walks , it is not them who will have to remove and clean up what they have left behind . The tolerance level of the hard working citizens of every city in every State , still realize that there is or should be no free ride on the backs of the people who work pay their rent , buy their own groceries and clothes , and above all pay their Taxes .

  8. How did homelessness surge duri.ng covid.? Thought nobody was being evicted at the time. Mmmmmmm?? It is a lifestyle, just like gangbanging. Let's all call it what it is. Just lazy people who want no rules or responsibilities.

  9. Colorado..nuff said. The most expensive non coastal state in the country, why….I have zero idea. I lived in that dump for 17 years and finally got out when all the liberals and drugs kept pouring in from every corner of the country.

  10. Somehow, having houseless people wandering around your neighborhood, makes it unsafe.
Who could think the addicts, thieves and mentally ill are dangerous.
    That's crazy talk …

  11. Sure make campsites instead of compelling the wealthy to take action and pay their fair shares, war is next and the poor outnumber the rich so figure that out for yourselves

  12. The homeless and the problems they bring are over running San Diego with devastating effects. We need those camps too.
Our woke city council and mayor says no. No one should endure the indignity of homelessness.

  13. Sweden ranks 56th out of all nations in deaths per 1M population, they had no shut down. Your government is causing this crisis, and they damned well know it. Vote accordingly.

  14. It’s so funny they talked to only 1 dude and he said it’s hard to be homeless lmao 🤣 wat a joke

  15. Denver, another Democrat ruined urban blue zone on display for the world to see. This is the Game A, Marxian utopia following cities like Portland, Seattle, Austin, Los Angeles, Houston, Minneapolis, etc.

  16. This is what I thought would work yet more like durable wooden structures due to weather like in the story, The Grapes of Wraith, without the company store.

What a great man. People burning up the forests in California is a problem but a temporary one.

  17. I can't believe the powers that be think putting people in tents is the answer.
    Disgusting.
Instead of addressing the issue with rent prices and greedy landlords they opt to put people inside a glorified prison camp.

  18. And some are actually homeless on the street or in shelters and the ones that are in shelters are not going to get housing because that is housing that's your tax dollar

  19. 444 million dollars the city and county has spent on motels on places for us to live
And yet they vacant button paid for and sitting empty and we're living in tents

  20. The City and county of Denver
Has spent $444 million dollars on motels and got places for the homeless to live and yet they're still putting in them tent camps they could have had us all in apartments what's up with that???

  21. In the enclosed/gated area, are the people they let live there only ones willing to NOT drink or use drugs? Ice-Fishing tents are fine for 6 mo. but did the city move them into a large empty bldg. for winter?

  22. i love seeing cities do things like this. i also love watching these homeless camps expand out of control. most of all i love watching the city slowly turn into another ghetto!
