The decision to ban fans came just hours after Japanese Prime Minister Suga announced a new state of emergency in Tokyo, which begins Monday and will run through the entire Olympics. » Subscribe to NBC News: http://nbcnews.to/SubscribeToNBC

  1. Well, I will never watch it anyways. But I find it interesting that there closing down everything so people won't spread and we have Biden with open borders and worried about the American people taking their poison what a JOKE!

  2. Poor Japan! All that money spent and no tourism revenues in the short term … 😞

  3. The Japanese government botched both the Olympics and vaccinations. The only reason there hasn’t been massive infection and death is because of the people of Japan, not the government.

Even long before the pandemic, they mismanaged simply building the stadium. I’m sure former Prime Minister Mori became very rich screwing up again and again, but he belongs in prison.

Even choosing the Olympic logo, that was all done in office.

    Absolutely shameful.

  4. They wait 15 days to pull this crap. They could have said it a bit sooner but they wanted a certain amount of commitment from the Olympic association so that they can’t just change the location on short notice 🤨🤔

  5. Lord help us 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

  6. "Fans Banned From Olympics After New State Of Emergency Declared in Tokyo" thereby motivating us, the people of America, to redouble our efforts to rapidly find out at any given moment, including even while On-Line, who among us are unwittingly contagious (i.e. pre-symptomatic or asymptomatic) in order to #ConvinceItForward for them to call their doctor and to self-quarantine per CDC guidelines in hopes of stopping this pandemic instead of having more #MourningInAmerica. Thus, we're hoping for the best while preparing for the worse-case scenario of the Alpha lineage mutations and others like the Gamma, Beta, Epsilon, Iota, & Delta lineage mutations combining to form hybrids that render current COVID vaccines no longer effective.

  7. If there's a Chinese New Year gathering for Covid, this would be it. All the fam variant from the world will gather in one spot and will merge to become one. It will be a feast for sure!

  8. More than 20% of Japan's population is over 65 years old, the highest proportion in the world. With only about 15% of the Japanese being vaccinated and having the world highest proportion in the world of older people and the influx of people for the Olympics, it will spread the virus and cause increase in hospitalization and increase in death in the local population.

  9. Why doesn't the United States just send some vaccine over there and start vaccinating people that way in 2 weeks time there should be enough people protected to have fans
