23. The perfection standard is governed by the judicial branch of government. If the ballot is required to be perfect, and the voter is required to be perfect, the candidate has to be perfect also. The process involves all three elements. The office does not matter. These are positions of public trust that people are voting on. My point is this. If the candidate is flawed and he or she is elected, the election should voided. That is a matter of law if you change the voting system as it stands. If the candidate lied. That would be considered a fraudulent campaign. The elected candidate had flaws that the voter did not know about, and the official would not have received those votes without telling the lie or concealing the truth. The election should be overturned in these instances also. The voter is directly harmed by the deceit of the elected official. How? The elected official enacts policies that effecting the voting public directly. Higher taxes that people can not afford. Loss of welfare the hungry people need. less medical care. If you raise the standard of the process the process includes the candidate. This is a matter of law that has not been enforced in the past without the changes that are being submitted to the local state and federal governments today.
