THAT is the most incredible part of a sport with people slamming into each other and falling one over another with chef-level sharpened blades on their feet. That he is the first casualty.

36. I remember the goalie for buffalo sabers in the early 80s got a skate to his jugular. Horrific. Team doctors pinched his jugular and kept him alive while they rushed him to the ER. He survived.
